Rated 1 out of 5 by from Simply Don't Work I have read that these labels work on foil and I have tried everything and they don't stick at all. I have tried when the meat/poultry is wrapped and just cold and also have it has been in the freezer and they don't adhere to the packaging. I went into the freezer and I had no idea whether the package was chops or cutlers as all the labels were separated and were everywhere. If you could blow on them and the label can come off to me that is not the kind of adhesive I need to withstand the cold in the freezer. I am not talking about putting them on glass jars or zip lock bags, but reynolds wrap. These labels should be test for very cold temperatures, not like a file folder label. I have purchased others and they don't work either. I don't know who these people are who comment that these labels work; it can't be my freezer and it's not brain surgery. this should contain heavy duty adhesive. I am very unhappy because I can't find anything out there that does the trick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for one-off usage These are wonderful to have for seeing dates, etc. and also for naming everything in ur freezer so you can find things! However, not reusable so if you want those, you can find them at Container Store too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised Remember to write your information on the sticker before removing it from the backing and put it on the foil or container before you add the food. It sticks and stays on and ink doesn't run. Perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally I have looked locally trying to find good serviceable freezer labels. I began using these immediately. I do a lot of freezing of soups, stews, etc. and there are times when I would have to guess what was in the container. Now I always know and there are no surprises.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Label for more than freezer use. Yes, these labels do work well for freezer use. We buy large packages of meat and re-wrap the meat in foil. Rather than have a whole slew of unnamed foil packages running around in the freezer we use these. We can put the type of meat and the date we froze it so we can rotate our meats correctly and prevent any freezer burn. But that is not our only use for them. We have a handicapped daughter who goes to a day hab facility and they will heat lunch for her. We label her containers with the directions for microwaving whatever we put in her lunch each day. The workers at the day hab love the fact that they do not have to guess how to heat the food for her. We also label containers that we want sent back home with her name and return to home. This way we don't end up having to buy more containers all the time. Our other use is label our dishes when we are doing Pot Luck dinners or church dinners to make sure we get the right dishes back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Make it more fun These are a cute way to label things and they make it just fun enough that I'm actually doing it - no more mysteries in the freezer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Practical The guide on the back for how long things are meant to be kept in a freezer is very helpful

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more "Outdated" foods in the fridge!!!! This product is what I have been looking for! I had been using computer labels, but they are so hard to get off the containers! With these, I can make up a batch of my favorite meal, label and freeze it and then in a moment know how long it has been in my freezer. These are perfect for those who want to make a double batch of favorite foods to freeze one. Along with the new glass containers that go in the freezer, I will be much more organized and not waste food that had previously been kept in a plastic bag. I am slowly ridding my kitchen of plastic! The glass canisters are also great!! No more plastic, no more outdated food!! I intend to give these labels as gifts to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from reliable product I have bought these freezer labels twice now and find them excellent for identifying refrigerator and freezer containers. Best to remove labels BEFORE getting them wet, though. Otherwise the glue is a mess.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Freezer Labels I love the convenience of having these on hand - no more UFOs (unidentified frozen objects) - but my handwriting is large so I would benefit more from a larger label that also included a space for heating instructions. Date: Item: Instructions:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted I have been looking for freezer labels all over. I used to live near the Chicago Container store & knew you would have them. They are the right size & now there are no longer surprises in my freezer, I know what everything is.

Community Q&A

How easily do these labels peel off? Do they leave residue on the container it was peeled off of?

Asked by: jerison
They peel off fairly easily if you do so before the container gets wet. If they get wet, the sticky residue is terrible to remove.

Dissolvable

Do the labels dissolve in water when the containers need to be washed or do they easily come off?
Asked by: OrganizingSusie
These labels are not water resistant, so they will weaken to exposure. You may want to look into our Erasable Food Storage Labels as they can be placed in the dishwasher.
