Our wondrously clear Square Snapware Containers hold kitchen staples like flour, sugar, rice, coffee, or tea beautifully on the counter or in the pantry. Made of shatter-proof, Flexiglass plastic, these containers won't stain or absorb odors. They're refrigerator and freezer safe and are recommended for dry food storage only. The lid is the outstanding feature of a Snapware Container. It's easy to open, has a wide circumference to accommodate scoops, locks in the open position for accident-free pouring, and has an airtight silicone seal to preserve food freshness and flavor. In fact, the lid has a patented design that seals around the silicone gasket from above and below to prevent any transfer of air or moisture, either in or out of the canister. The result is a seal so complete, potato chips left in a Snapware Container for an entire year were as fresh as when they were first opened!

Rated 5 out of 5 by I'm not bugged. Regardless of the brand of food storage container used in the long ago past or currently (Snapware) I have never EVER stored any food directly in the container. If it's possible, I use the bag it comes in, but only if it's water resistant. Flour and sugar I pour directly into a zipper bag, which then goes into the container. Basically any food product goes first into the zipper bag and then in the container. I'm very phobic about any kind of creepycrawly and though it may be a little bit more work initially, this really works for me. The zipper makes a relatively airtight seal and then the latch on the container is a double protection. Although this may seem counter-intuitive, it gives me peace of mind. To date, there have been no issues. I really like the Snapware although a couple of mine were "deformed" in the dishwasher (wrong rack). Still they're quite usable although a little weird looking and a bit off balance, but until we get new ones, they work very well. I love the square because they take up less room than round. I've had these for years already and they've never cracked or split but like anything else, care has to be taken. Now I know NOT to put them in the bottom rack. Terrific product and reasonably priced. March 11, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Lids are a pain Surprised no one else mentions. Hard to properly get gaskets into track. Hard to secure lids so they don't pull right off. Not sure if seal is effective as I've found bugs in pancake mix after a couple of weeks. I use chalkboard labels which look sharp and hold up for bwashing. September 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Useful canister I bought this to hold four pounds of sugar, which it does very nicely. The top opening is good for scooping out the contents. The catch is a bit odd, but it seems to be working. July 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by WARNING ON SIZE!!! I love these Snapware canisters. I had a couple at my last apartment and was looking forward to buying several more to have a complete matching set for all my baking flours and sugars at my new home. HOWEVER, I was very disappointed upon arriving home with my lovely new canisters only to find that they did not fit in my cabinets! My kitchen cabinets have fixed shelves a little over 8" apart. I usually find the Container Store's measurements to be quite accurate, however not so in this case. The medium size (11.1 cup/2.6 L) of these canisters is NOT 8" high as stated. They are actually between 8.25" & 8.5" in height once you account for the domed lids. Such a disappointment as 8" would have been a perfect fit! (just a small gap between canister and shelf to allow for easy movement -- but alas! I couldn't get them onto our shelves at all) :/ They are still great canisters though, so I'm just knocking one star off for inaccurate measurements in the item description because otherwise they would have been perfect. Ah well! June 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great container This container is easy to open and close. We bought it to hold dog treats and keep them fresh for our pups. March 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Keeps Fresh Love this snapware container for keeping cereal crisp and fresh. Its ultra lite to handle, so the kids have no problem pouring out their bowl of cereal. Also has a convenient indented handle. The snap lid stay tight and sealed. March 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Snapware Made My Pantry Beauteous! My husband tends to rip open cereal and cracker boxes like a raccoon getting into a garbage can. I hated that you can't close boxes snugly after he gets through tearing the tops, so I bought Snapware and outfitted my pantry. The lids snap closed nicely and they fit perfectly onto the narrow shelves of my flip out pantry. Now things will stay fresh and weevil-free, plus I can easily see when we're getting low on his favorites. Gotta keep the wild animal happy! March 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Useful I'm currently using these for cereal, nuts, and baby snacks. The seem to be keeping everything nice and fresh. I plan on purchasing more for all my baking items; I think it'd be great for my chocolate chips, and dried goods! September 22, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Does not keep moths out I bought these for my mom as she tends to get pantry moths. I just cleaned out her cabinets and found moths inside and outside and all around the screw threads to the containers. Will be looking for another storage solution that is bug proof. August 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Snapware is the best thing for food saving These containers create an airtight seal to keep your food fresh and bug-free. Very important. I used these on all my staples which come in bags which could be penetrated by bugs. I'm very pleased with the way the pantry. May 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by SOS Saves our Saltines!...not to mention our cereals, drink mixes, and espresso. The full size Snapware fit side-by-side on my pantry shelves and are perfect for at least one box-worth of cereal, cracker sleeves, or dozens of espresso cups. The mediums fit perfectly in wire spice shelving. Great for dressing mixes, powdered drink packets, sweeteners, extra packs of gum. The "babies"? Think birthday candles! All are easily washed and dried when you take off the lid ring, and everything stays fresh, visible ... and bright! April 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great for dog treats I bought this container to store my dog's treats in! It is easy to open and close and keeps the items fresh for a very long time!! Love it!! :) April 4, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Storage Containers! After doing on-line research on storage containers for my kitchen products, these containers were highly rated from many customers. They are quality plastic, BPA free, with great fitting lids and hand holds for easy transporting. Highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for something to organize their pantry. Did the in-store pickup which was wonderful! March 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superior Containers I have owned the Snapware Containers before. However, they have been in storage for over a decade while I recovered from a life-threatening operation. When I was able to get them out again from storage, I was pleased anew by their versatilty and ease of lifting. I had bought my original containers from a grocery store, which no linger carried them. I thought I would never find them again, or that they had been discontinued by the original company. This was last July 2013. When I got an e-mail from the Container Store, I thought I would just check. Imagine my joy when I found them again! Happiness! I ordered the sizes I needed, and they came very quickly with nice packaging! Thank you, the Container Store. What a wonderful relief! I felt that I had been able to bring back a small good portion of my life before this operation. This experience helped me to realize that there are still good things in store for my life. Thank you again, the Container Store! Wonderful! March 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Pet Food I have a small dog and this container is great to keep her kibble fresh. Food stays fresh and lid stays firmly closed even resting on its side (which is what I have to do). Appears very sturdy as I have already dropped it twice and no damage! Will try other sizes as need arises. I recommend. March 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by So Handy These containers are useful because of the range of sizes, how airtight they are & their square footprint on the shelf. Being clear you can easily see what is inside. They also hold a lable well. February 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rectangular Snapware® Containers These large Snapware Containers are great for storing my bulk almond & walnuts and sunflower nuts that I use on my salads and for cooking. They keep five pounds of nuts fresh for up to 3 months with no problems. The positive click sound lets you know the top has closed and has sealed a nice touch. I can highly recommend this product to any one looking for a good BPA free container. January 15, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great containers I've been on a kick to organize our pantry and get rid of all the loose bags and boxes. These containers were a great choice for that. I love that they're clear and have a good seal. They would be even more perfect if they had flat tops (instead of slightly rounded ones) to improve stacking. December 1, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed Was delighted at design with rubber/plastic seal under the snap lid when the items arrived. I have a few flour moths once in a while and I wanted to keep them out of food products. I bought a brand new bag of grits last week and filled the smallest container. This morning I opened the lid and found webs, dead moths and a couple of live ones. I haven't looked at the other snap lid containers I bought and filled with dry curly pasta because I am so .... so.... displeased. September 29, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by It was perfect for my cat's food. I really like it. August 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love these containers. Made in the USA was my major selling point, and they have met every expectation. I had pantry moths, and they do not get into these. I'm about to order more containers for all my cereal. I would recommend these to anyone. Get the big ones for flour, as it fluffs when you pour it in, the medium will hold a bag of corn meal, but it is FULL. July 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I need 50 more of these! Now I can see what's in the container and it stays fresh! April 30, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good for cookies and snacks I needed some containers for my daughter's cookies and crackers. They fit the bill. They're wide enough to get your hand in but slim enough for my toddler to grab. April 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Cereal I use the largest size Snapware to store cereal. It makes it easy for my kids to find what they want and creates a uniform look since I keep them out in view on top of my refrigerator. March 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT for storing coffee!!! If any of you buy those large bags of Dunkin Donuts coffee from Costco, THIS product can hold ALL of that coffee!!! It smells fresh every time I open the container. I was pouring out the coffee powder into the small Snapware container and placing the rest in the fridge. I then decided to try the large size Snapware container and it's been great!!! I don't have to worry about pouring the coffee out 3 or 4 times into a small container!!! Just pour the coffee powder into the large container one time and you're done!!! January 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Alternative Use We use these to keep snake "food" in the freezer. It prevents freezer burn and makes dispensing the right number of "food items" quick and easy. December 5, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by A good solid product I actually love these Snapware containers. I use them to store beans, rice, grains, dried fruit, etc. in my pantry. They are great for keeping dry goods fresh and the bugs OUT! The only drawback to these is that they are NOT dishwasher safe, therefore they must be washed and dried by hand. Since those occasions with this type of storage container are rare, this is acceptable to me, and I have acquired quite a few of these in various sizes for my pantry. November 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great containers! I really like these because they have hand grips built in, so they're easy to pick up even when filled with something heavy. They're very well made, and the caps open and shut easily. Also, the mouths are very wide. The largest size is bigger than most people will need for things like sugar and flour. The small and medium ones hold a lot. I will buy more. February 15, 2011

Container Stories
Room Makeovers

You remember it. I remember it. And our kids are going to remember it: the college dorm room. And while some things change - my beloved Sting poster that was on my wall is now replaced by what? Maybe a lovely piece of art or montage of fun photos of friends and memories? Some things never change when it comes to dorm rooms - it's probably the smallest space you'll ever reside.
