Absolutely perfectI purchased this container because I was tired of throwing away cat food. My kitty eats dry food but won’t eat the food on the bottom section of the bag, it’s probably on the stale side from opening and closing every day. I saw this container in magazine and ordered it that day. Now she has no problem eating all of her food, it stays fresh all the way through.

Perfect FitThis is so cute and functional. I purchased the large size. Very light weight but sturdy. Will accommodate a 30lb bag we buy for our dog. Love that it rolls and the two different openings. I needed slim storage so it would fit in my laundry/mud room. Hard to find something slim but rolls. Great!

So cute I wanted to love itI had been looking at this dog food container online for awhile and really liked the design - both aesthetically and functionally, so I finally ordered it. I picked it up today and was excited to put it to use in the pantry. I decided to try its functionality before I filled it with dog food. It rolled under the bottom shelf of the pantry perfectly! I opened the large lid several times and sealed it again. The large lid works well, seals nicely and latches and unlatches easily. When I opened the container, the scoop was in the bottom of the container rather than attached to the lid. I now know why. The scoop is sturdy plastic. The smaller lid is a much thinner plastic and not sturdy. The scoop will attach to the lid, but once you are able to get it secured, it is difficult to remove. I removed the scoop from the lid and secured it again several times to test if it would get easier, but every time it felt as if the lid may break at the hinges or crack on top. If I left the scoop in the container rather then attaching it to the lid, I am sure the lid would remain intact for awhile, but the latch on the top lid also seems flimsy and I am concerned that it may not maintain its ability to latch. I really want to love this container in person as much as I did when I saw it online, but I am so concerned that the lid will break or crack in a short period of time that I would rather return the container now than be disappointed later.

Sturdy and Good CapacityThis container is sturdy and I like that it has 2 lids. A small lid sits on top of the large lid and makes dispensing of the dry dog food simple and neat. The wheels make it easy to maneuver and the design is cute.

DisappointedI purchased this from the Charlotte store in NC. The scoop doesn’t stay in place on the lid. It is burdensome for use. On the website we see where it should stay in place. None in the store actually stayed like the online picture makes it look.

Clasp broken first useI was very excited about this cute container because of the rubber gasket. Unfortunately the small plastic closure on top broke the first time we used it. The plastic is too thin to withstand opening over and over.

Adorable, Great Idea......BUTI love the look and idea of these canisters; however, the function is not great. The wheels are a good function, the dogs are adorable; but, the top is made poorly and the latch is cheap and hard to open. I am always fighting with it and afraid I am going to break it. I bought 2 sizes and both aren't very good! f you are looking for function, don't buy these. if you just want cute, go ahead and buy them.

Just what we needed!We have 2 German shepherd dogs, so we need a place for 2 - 30# bags of dogfood. We had used a variety of tubs in the past, but they took up a lot of room. These new food bins are on rollers, they are lightweight, and they are higher up, so they take up less space and are off the floor (away from bugs and such). The peekaboo door on the top can be secured tightly by snapping in the tab, but we keep ours unsnapped for easier access. These were a wee bit more expensive than I would typically spend on something for dogfood, but I used a coupon to help some and don't regret this purchase at all. I highly recommend it!

Funny StoryMy boyfriend and I both have dogs that eat different foods, and we wanted to get airtight storage containers for their food. I bought this container from The Container Store, because it seemed high quality and I thought it was very cute. My boyfriend bought a much cheaper container from a big box store that was half the price, less sturdy, and not very cute. For the past 18 months I have enjoyed using this container and it has held up very well – I have no complaints.
Last week we had a nightmare scenario in our pantry—ANTS!! The ants had gotten into my boyfriend’s dog food storage container through cracks that we hadn’t seen in the bottom. They were also flooding in the supposedly airtight seal around the mouth of the container. Our two containers stood side-by-side in the pantry: his was literally covered with ants, but there was not a single ant even walking on my container from The Container Store! It was so obvious I didn’t even have to say “I told you so!” We went and bought a second one of these and threw away his cheap one. Now both of our dogs’ food are stored in these cute, safe containers.

Functional, great size, and cute!I was looking for a dry-food container for my dog's food, and I found this was at The Container Store Online. It seemed to be the right size, and with the cute dogs all over the container also had a cute appearance. It was right what I was looking for, perfect size, not too bulky, has a small compartment to get the food, and also you can open the large opening to load it. It eve has a scoop, very practical. It fitted perfectly where I wanted to place it, and with the dog silhouettes everyone would know where the dog food is if needed :-) ... it also has wheels if it needs to be moved. Besides the product itself, I also would like to make a compliment to the Miami Dadeland's The Container Store personal, since I placed my order online to pick it up -on a Friday afternoon-, but the pick up window was not until Saturday.... I called them -since I was going to be in the area on Friday night- to see if I might get the item sooner -that day... that evening!... and they did everything so I could stop by and get the item!... Thank you Miami Dadeland Team :-)

Super Cute Dog Food ContainerWe I was in the store I thought that the Dry Dog Food Container was a little pricey, but decided to get it anyways. The store clerk said I could return it if I wasn't 100% satisfied.
Now that I have been using it for a month or so. I love it!!!
It is super air tight so no ants can get inside the container. And I love that it has wheels, it makes it super easy to pull out from underneath my kitchen counter.

Hold a full bagI love the dog containers because they will hold the big bags of food. The only down side is it is too difficult to open the smaller opening. When I want to get the food I have to open the whole top.

Don’t!Don’t be a sucker like I was! By the time i got two containers home, one of them had a lid that was just a little crooked. After opening and closing the container a couple of days, I noticed that the container lid had snapped off on one side. $50 dollars for a container that didn’t last a week without breaking!

Nice container, keeps food freshWe got this for our cat food because keeping the huge bag around is a pain! This keeps it fresh, looks nice, and is easy to access. The scoop isn't really useful for us, we use a measuring scoop, but that's fine.

Ours is too large to go in a dishwasher. If you purchased a very small one that could fit on the top rack of a dishwasher, I suspect it would be fine. It is very sturdy plastic. I just don't know that even the smallest size would fit in one.

Is it possible to get replacement parts?
I have had the 44 lb. dry dog food container for about a year and a half. The lid to the small opening, where we scoop the food from on a daily basis, broke and now doesn't stay sealed properly. Is it possible to get a replacement lid for that small opening?

I love everything about this container, but the dog decals are a little too busy for me. Is it possible to remove them like a sticker or something?

The dog or cat motif is not removable. The patterns are silkscreened on to the plastic of the containers.
