Nice trayNice looking tray, I use it as a catchall for keys, wallet, and sunglasses, and it is much nicer than those things just lying on the entryway table. The tray itself is nice looking, but it is lightweight, it is soft enough to be imprinted with a thumbnail, but still works very well for what I need it for. I do not expect it to last forever, but it is not showing any noticeable wear after a few weeks of daily use.
What is the usable surface area of both the medium and large trays? I assume that the dimensions given are for the outside edges.

The usable surface areas of our Feathergrain Wood Tapered Trays are 7-1/8" x 4-1/4" (small), 8-1/4" x 5-1/2" (medium), and 9" x 6-1/4" (large).
Trays have come a long way since the days of their original function - carrying food and drink from room to room. Now they can instantly elevate a room, adding elements of style and interest. Because there's a finite area to "contain" your wares, they can help you edit a collection or curate a variety of pretty things you want to show off. A designer friend once told me, that when thinking about putting together a tray for decoration and function, to think of it in four imaginary squares and make sure each "square" incorporates items at different heights.
