Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and strong I wasn't using all the space in my lower kitchen cabinets as efficiently as I could, until I got these installed! I asked my handyman to set them up, and it took him almost no time at all. The shelves are made of thick metal that is very sturdy. I can load them up with heavy dishware and they still roll smoothly. So glad I got these! Make sure you measure your cabinet doors CAREFULLY. Not all cabinets are the same size!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition I installed the 14 in. slide out shelves in two lower cupboards. Because there was only a half shelf in the cupboard, I removed that and made a full depth shelf, and made a support in the middle by just screwing in two blocks, one in the front vertical style and one in the back. This made the shelf strong enough and deep enough to support two upper lynk units, giving me 4 in total. These are easy to install, and I recommend just assembling the tray to the sliding rails first, then positioning the whole unit into the cupboard and testing the clearance. All that is really needed is the cardboard guide to give you the required 2 in. setback, and keep the front square. Mark the holes by putting a pencil down through the tray. Just drill the front two first and instals screws, recheck the clearance and square, then slide the shelf out slightly so it does not interfere in the back, and drill the back two. All done in under ten minutes. These make a huge difference in the usefulness of the lower cupboards, you don't have to kneel down and dig through stuff any more. For taller items, just install one sliding shelf on the bottom of the cupboard. Easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pantry problem solved! My pantry was a mess. I couldn't see what was at the very back and had to take out a lot of items to even see what I had in the pantry. This LYNX drawer solved the problem. Now I can see every item and I love that it rolls out so I don't have to bend down on a bad knee. I liked it so much that I bought one for pots and pans and another one for the top part of the pantry. I love it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great thing to add to cabinets, easy to install So glad I got this! Figured a great way to add some features to the kitchen cabinetry of my new home before I do a full kitchen remodel. Drawer was easy to install and fit well. In fact, this fit better than the bamboo drawers, since the rail is underneath the drawer, not along the side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Manufacturing useable space! My kitchen has two large under-counter cabinet spaces. The problem is that each cabinet door is all the way to the right. So stuff I store to the far left is difficult to access. With two roll out drawers mounted perpendicular to each other, the problem is solved! One drawer is mounted to roll out of the cabinet. The other drawer is mounted all the way to the left, positioned (and shimmed) to slide over the tracks of the first drawer. Viola! Maybe storing pots and pans isn't the sexiest application, but this is certainly functional and practical and makes my life easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No regrets! I installed 5 of these in all my base cabinets (framed cabinets made my Kitchen Kompact). I may need back surgery, so crawling around in my cabinets just doesn't happen. If I need something in the back, I usually just say, "Forget it! I'll cook something else!". Even with my bad back, I was able to install these by myself with stretch breaks. If I wasn't hurting I could've easily done all 5 in an hour. Regardless, I recommend a foot stool to sit on while you're working. All you need is a drill (I used a corded drill b/c my cordless was dead), a 1/8 bit to make the pilot holes, and a screwdriver. Depending on your cabinets, you could do it all with just a screwdriver if you really had to. If you don't install the screws in the absolute perfect spot, they're made to have a little wiggle, so I'd just tap the base right or left as needed before tightening the screws down. Now, getting to the back of my cabinet is no big deal at all! They glide very smoothly and evenly. They bring the back of the cabinet to you! No more crawling around! Now I just wish Lynk would design one that I can add to the weird half shelf inside my cabinets. Like maybe the back two screws attach to the shelf, then the front end is supported by rods that attach to the front of the bottom shelf so that they move together. THAT would be awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product As a finishing touch for our new kitchen, my husband installed a dozen Roll Out drawers by Lynk. These roll outs are very sturdy and well made. We avoided other cheaper products as their durability was questionable. The drawers were a breeze to install, but require drilling four holes for the mounting screws--six screws are suggested for the bigger units. We put two units (a 17" and a 14") under the sink, but he had to get creative with the disposer wire and the dishwasher water line and drain hose. Also the weight for the pull out sink faucet had to be zip tied to the plumbing to raise it up slightly to clear the drawers. You will probably lose some shelf capacity due to the P-trap blocking tall items. They glide smoothly and we congratulate ourselves on a wise decision each time we use them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serious. This pull-out cabinet drawer is SERIOUS. It's chrome and definitely a heavy duty piece of work. I was looking for something light and on the cheaper side for a utensil organizer that holds my spoons, forks, etc. that would pull out of my kitchen island. I attached it to one of the removable shelves and was worried that the weight of the pull-out drawer would be too much for the removable shelf...and it slightly is. I solved the problem of the shelf tilting too much by pushing a peg into the hole just above the shelf. Now it just tilts perfectly enough instead of sliding out.....because this beast is heavy. It's totally overkill for my needs but compared to the other options...quality trumps everything else. I want to install more of these. I just have to figure out where and for what reason. I'm obsessed with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I love these pull out cabinet drawers. Our lower cabinets were very difficult to store heave pots, pans, bakeware and bowls in due to our age and inability to reach in the back of these cabinets. These cabinet pull out drawers are heavy duty, hold a lot of weight and can be pulled out with one them and have put them in all bottom cabinets. Much more cost effective than installing new cabinets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality, heavy duty--very functional. I purchased these for our prior home and then again when we moved. These are amazing and make it possible to use the very back of your cupboard with ease. I have used them for food items as well has heavy appliances. They are very high quality, heavy duty and at our prior home were still working like they were new 10 years later!. The only thing to keep in mind is that they do reduce the overall area of storage due to the hardware itself. Also, you have to get the size closest to your cupboard width and may lose some storage on the sides. Well worth it however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 8 Lower Kitchen Cabinets Compl w Chrome Roll Outs I looked online for chrome kitchen roll-out cabinet drawers that would be easy to install. So many looked so complicated. I came across these Lynx Chrome Roll-Outs on utube. I have never used an electric screw driver before but bought a small one easy to handle w lights. I installed 16 chrome roll-out drawers from the Container Store and it went very quickly. A lot of the time when I start a job it doesn't finished right away. But these were so easy to do with the enclosed template that it all went extremely fast. I am very happy with how everything looks and that I now have all my items right at my fingertips and don't have to kneel and look for stuff in the back of the lower cabinets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I purchased two of these sliding drawers for my bottom cabinets. They were super easy and fast to install and they glide like they are on butter. No more wondering what is in the back of the cabinets (the abyss) and no more crawling on my hands and knees to find something. They don't take up a lot of extra space. The fit is very efficient and I was able to fit so much in each drawer. Since they fit low to the cabinet, I was able to stack things without it hitting the top of my other cabinet. When measuring, make sure and take into account any door hinges. I'm getting more for me and some for my mom who's 81. Can't say enough good about them. Love, love, love them! I've never purchased anything at the Container Store that I didn't love.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, attractive, and extremely helpful! I found the metal slide-out easy to install, and it especially makes it easier to get heavy Le Creuset pieces out of a lower cabinet! You do lose some inches of storage by using racks instead of open space, but the drawer function is a huge improvement over hauling heavy items out of back corners. I used metal for big items and the wood would work well for smaller things.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I used the drawers as a way to see and get to food items stored in high cabinets in our kitchen. I was disappointed with the drawer in two main areas. First, the basket is mounted above the roller/guides and thus you loose over 1 1/2 inches of storage height. This means the boxes of cereal etc. now have to stored on their side not upright. The roller/guides should have been mounted on the outside of the basket, giving up 3/4 inch of width but gaining 1 1/2 inch of storage height. Second the drawers do not fully extend, last 8 inches are still out of sight behind the walls. So I still can't see the items stored at the back. Need to select a different roller/guide that fully extends, maybe with only a little loss in storage weight, but for my application the food is very light, less than 15 lbs thus weight was never a problem.

Community Q&A

Will these attach to the sides of the cabinet?

I'd like to put two in each cabinet, one on the floor and one above, but the shelf that came with the cabinet is only a half shelf so I was wondering if I could attach the gliders to the sides of the cabinet.

No, they are strictly bottom mount

How far do the drawers roll out? Are they full extension?

Asked by: bre0980
I checked my 11" drawer and there was about 6" that remained in the cabinet, however, it didn't impede the access to the contents in the back of the drawer. You could mount the bottom frame closer to the edge of the cabinet opening to make it pull out further. But I don't have any problems at all accessing my stuff.

The glides come assembled - with a "horizontal" mounting bar at the front and rear (picture a rectangle). the horizontal mounting bars have 2 holes each side for screw fastening to your shelf base.

Can this be hung upside down?

Hi, can this be installed upside down, at the top of the cabinet. That way you coud use S hooks and hang pans and slide out of cabinet to reach whatever pan you need.
Asked by: Cjkjvel
I use them the usual way, but I think it would depend on what's above your cabinet, because the mounting screws might need to be more sturdily mounted than if you were depending on a gravity assist as in a right side up mounting. Also make sure that you have sufficient depth in an upper cabinet (which would be unusual). Also, be sure to check how much clearance you have for sliding out. Most cabinets have a shallow edge at the bottom front, and a much deeper one at the top!!!

Dimensions for Mounting Points?

How far from the rear of the rail are the mount points for screwing into the base of the cabinet to install the unit? [Some plumbing in the rear of the cabinet could make installing far back an adventure.]

Lynk Professional Drawers do not offer a single drawer width to fit this dimension (smallest is 11" wide for 12" cabinet opening) but the Lynk Professional Lid/Tray Organizer measures 7.25" wide and would fit this dimension, if desired.

Minimum width required.

I want to install the 17 " wide roll out. However, the width of the opening is exactly 17". Would it work ?
Asked by: Rajindra
It might work but it would be tight. I purchased the 11" and my opening was 11 3/4". I just went and measured the width of my pullout drawer and it was 10 3/4" so you might go to the store and actually measure the drawer, as it might be slightly smaller than the stated 17". You do need to allow some room for the drawer not to hit the sides of the opening. Make sure you consider any hinges that stick out. It has to be able to clear both sides so when measuring, measure from one side of the opening to the hinge if it sticks out.

Can/should these be installed over cork liner?

I was thinking of lining my base cabinets with cork liner and installing these pull out shelves after.

I don't think they could. The drawer needs to be very secure to the bottom in order to be stable and glide appropriately. I don't believe you could tighten the screw into the bottom of the cabinet well enough over cork.

We have a 3/4 inch "lip" on the bottom shelf. Will this interfere with the use of the rolling shelf?

Asked by: mfww
Not clear if this is a vertical lip or if it is just the "lip" made by the cupboard facing. If it is the latter, the small lip existent (mine is probably no more than 1/32 in.) is not a problem, and the included cardboard guide gives you as 2 in setback for the rail installation, which will provide clearance with the closed cupboard doors. if the former, a 3/4 in vertical lip, then you would need to shim up the shelves somewhat with blocks.
