Fantastic... for 3 monthsWe hung this horizontally, and after 3 months the roll of towels was hanging at a downward angle. Turns out the mounting arm and spindle are metal, but the crucial pieces that connect them are plastic, and not up to the job. Live and learn, I guess -- we'll be replacing this with a holder that supports the roll at both ends.

Not easy to install anywhereThis product makes it sounds like it can be easily installed anywhere. But it comes with large screws that go right through most cabinets.

Perfect - just like it's namedIt doesn't spin when you pull for a sheet so it does present one sheet at a time. We mounted to underneath kitchen cabinet, but be aware that the screws may go through the bottom of the cabinet like ours. We're going to purchase a second one for the garage sink. Good price.

So glad I found it again!Used this in Canada and was afraid I wouldn't be able to find it again, thinking I shouldn't have left it in the last house. Thankfully, The Container Store had it and we just love it. With the new "select-a-size" paper towels, this lets you tear just one sheet off and it looks nice. We put it outside the upper cabinet right beside the sink so it's handy without having to open a cupboard, so appearance is important. Years ago I had the same brand but the counter top model, and we loved it also. Would highly recommend.

Perfect over-the-sink itemNeeded a paper towel holder in the laundry room over he sink, and this has been perfect! I can actually use one hand to rip the sheets off the roll, since the holder puts enough pressure on the roll to keep it from going loose.

Perfect for bathroom wall mountingI have purchased this paper towel holder to mount next to the sink in the guest bathroom. I love that it doesn't allow a gazillion paper towels to wind off onto the floor. Incredible for controlling germs!

A 1" screw comes with this papertowel holder. In fact, most of the ones we carry do. We can tell you that a regular 1/2" wood screw should be readily available at any hardware store.If you pick these products up in our stores, we have screws we can give out complementary. If you have them shipped to you, just shoot us an email with your mailing address and we can mail them to you. In either case, just let us know you need 1/2" long screws. We hope this helps some.

Maximum diameter of the roll in the paper towel holder?
I ask because I've found some brands of paper towels come in rolls somewhat fatter than my present towel holder will hold, so want to be sure this one is more capacious. Will it hold a 6"-diameter roll?

The clearance between the center pivot and the outer edge where the mounting hardware is located is 2 3/4" wide. This should allow it to have adequate clearance to accommodate a 6" diameter roll.

The Perfect Tear Wall- Mount Paper Towel Holder can be installed, uninstalled & re-installed in a wood stud construction using the included screws with relative ease.
If you had a drywall construction, you would not be able to reuse the included anchors. We do not sell an exact match to this anchor. Should you find you have need of additional anchors, the closest match we have to that included anchor is our "Scru N Grips" anchor (item number 10007156). You might could find an exact match at a hardware store.

Would I be able to put a roll of garbage bags on this?

As long as the core of the Garbage Bag roll has a large enough diameter and the width the of the bags on the roll does not prevent the roll from turning freely, our Perfect Tear Wall-Mount Paper Towel Holder should be a suitable dispenser.
