Double Your Shelf SpaceI bought these undershelf baskets to help use the wasted cabinet space. What I love about them is being able to separate items by size. Locate your papers with ease.I purchased the small polytherm wire undershelf basket first and discovered I needed the larger size. I am using two of the larger baskets in my office - one to hold the printer paper - takes up less room and is very accessible. I use the second one fastened on under the computer desk. I "store" my papers such as those i print out from items I have ordered online. They no longer clutter up the area around the computer - looks much neater! These baskets make an area clutter-free, and I can locate what I am looking for with ease!

Love itOur kitchen has very few cabinets and this product is a great space maker. We purchased two of these, one small and one medium size and use the latter for storing glass tumblers/ measuring cups and the former for storing kitchen towels.

Great for Small Kitchens!I have a super tiny kitchen with very limited cabinet space. These Undershelf Baskets were a great way to double the amount of storage in each cabinet. I can store all my mugs in the basket plus all my glasses underneath. A great way to utilize space that would otherwise be wasted!
I just wish they had some that were 3" in height (instead of 5") so I could store plates in them.

Lots of extra storage spaceStrong, holds good amount of weight
I used the shelves to increase storage in china cabinets and they held the weight of the smaller pieces very well - cups saucers, highball glasses etc. Will buy more when needed.

Not stableI bought this to store some of my coffee cups in one of my kitchen cabinets, but since it bounces, I decided it wasn't a safe way to store anything breakable. There's just too much spring and bounce.

Love them!I purchased two of the small and one of the large undershelf baskets for a closet I am organizing. They are nice and study and can work on a shelf up to an inch thick. These baskets are also much nicer looking than other undershelf baskets I have seen, and that in turn keeps my closet nicer looking. Undershelf baskets are a terrific way to utilize all available space without having to pile things on top of each other. I would definitely order more of these without hesitation. I am very happy with them. I have one suggestion for The Container Store: It would be helpful if in addition to overall measurements you offered usable, inside measurements as well.

Kitchen storage issue resolvedI was having to stack my small tumblers and mugs to get everything to fit into the kitchen cabinets of my small apartment. These undershelf baskets are the perfect solution! The short tumblers and mugs fit into the baskets, and the tall glassware and taller mugs fit on the shelves underneath. Declutters my pantryI bought a size small and a medium, fit perfectly side-by-side in my 30" wide Elfa pantry. I use them to keep food container lids out of the way but still accessible, as well as Ziploc bags.
I deducted 1 star since the bottom of the basket is narrower than the top. As a result, some valuable inches of storage space is lost for no particular reason.

Why didn't I buy these years ago?I went to the Container Store and bought one. Came home and loved not having such a cluttered pantry. My husband likes them since items are not piled on top of items. After looking at other stores to no avail I went on line and bought 4 more in various lengths. Great for the pantry. I use mine to store canned goods, cookie sheets, and pie plates. It is so nice to be able to locate things easily.

Very handyThese were just the thing I needed to hang underneath the shelf in my laundry room. They nearly double the available storage space. My only complaint is they are not deeper to handle taller items. Other than that, they are perfect.

Great for Additional StorageI have two of these in my pantry and one in my laundry room. I intend to buy a few more for the laundry room. These are great to fill in extra space that isn't being used. It leaves a tall enough space that I can put my bread in there and prevent it from getting smooshed. I generally put lighter things in them like rags, bread, chips, other small items that kind of get lost on the bigger shelves.

Great for the OfficeI recently purchased three of these for my office. I have a small space and these work great for getting things off my desk and freeing up work space. The small is just a tiny bit shorter than an 8.5x11 folder but not so much as to make the folders in danger of falling out. I can hang two of them in between the brackets anchoring the shelf. My boss even wants some now!

Could be betterThis is a fairly small shelf, but it works pretty well. You can't put much weight on it, it makes the whole shelf sag and push forward. I have about two bags of beans on it. We're going to put something on the back end to connect it so it doesn't do this anymore. With modification, it can work for you. As it is for ours, it keeps our cupboard door open.

Great everywhere!I bought these for my daughter's closet, but I am using them in my pantry as well as under my kitchen cabinets to hold ripening fruit and veg. It gets it off the counter and adds some nice color.

Great for renters!I bought 2 medium undershelf baskets. One is in my "pantry" - really just a wide cabinet. Best option for the price and use of space, it holds a ton of stuff - 3 boxes of tea, granola bars, bags of chips - that normally took up the space to fit larger boxes of cereal and such.
I use another basket in my cabinet for cups. I don't know why, but everyone gives me mugs as gifts. I must have 25. This shelf fits about 12 of them and allows the other 12 to sit on the shelf bellow it. Great use of space and cheaper than installing a new shelf that we would never be able to use in another apartment! My only criticism - this shelf shakes a lot when you open and close the door, although i am confident it will not break.

Doesn't Project Out Beyond ShelfMost undershelf baskets have a lip at the bottom to keep things from falling out, which is fine, but in all the baskets I've seen, the lip projects out 1/2" - 3/4". Sadly, there isn't that much clearance between the edge of the shelf and the linen closet door. This unit worked very well. This fits tight against the shelf and doesn't project beyond 1/8".
I am not using it for heavy items, it sags a bit even under the minimal weight I have on it. But, it gives me a place to put the odd things that wouldn't sit quite right on the shelf, so I'm very happy.

works great!This item is a great space saver if you have an unused area below a shelf. It installs so easily, and stays sturdily in place. I was worried the bars at the top would interfere with the shelf above, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. I haven't put anything really heavy in it, but it seems like it could hold up.

What is the maximum weight can these baskets hold? I plan to use these under my desk shelf. Can it carry a laptop?

I would think that you may find this info online. The baskets are very sturdy. You may want to measure the depth of your laptop. The laptop may stick out a little in the front, but otherwise the basket should hold it nicely.

You can probably find the dimensions online for varying sizes. I save instruction manuals. I used to put them in a kitchen drawer. The shelf fits perfectly inside of my pantry for quick access to my regularly used manuals.
