Wall mounted clothing valetI mounted this on wall near my closets. It's very useful for putting clothes out for the next day (or for a special occasion). I'm able to put several outfits out at once and also use it to hang accessories like a purse, jewelry, etc.

Pretty GoodVery utilitarian and nice design. An attractive looking solution, but a bit overpriced. Pretty easy to install although it is mounted on the four outermost pegs which didn't line up with the wall studs.

A Sure HitI bought this great looking Expansia Wall Hook for my 11 year old granddaughter who had just gotten her ears pierced. She absolutely loved it. She decided to hang all of her new earrings given to her on her birthday and all of her collection of necklaces and bracelets. It is hung on the wall in her room. With the colors and sparkles of all the pretty stones it adds to the room's character and feeling of fun.
Thank you Umbra and The Container Store for this little treasure. She asked me to get another for her when this one is full!
How narrow can this rack be (dimensions when contracted)?

Mine is already installed so I cannot adjust it now. I narrowed mine to 11 3/4". If I were to hazard a guess I would say 10" minimum.

Can you use this to hang coffee mugs?

Possibly, but the mugs would have to have a very thin handle. The "hook" is only a 1/4 inch. If it were me I would look for real hooks so the mugs wouldn't fall off easily.

Looking for a rack for keychains - will this work, or are the knobs too big?

The knobs are 15/16" so a keychain would have to be larger than this to fit.

Definitely could hang towels on this. It does stick out about an inch with 15/16" knob in front.
