Would it be ok to use this outdoors?

We have had ours attached to the main entrance door frame, under a covered entrance for 2 years now and no problems. I don't know how it would cope being exposed to the weather, but under cover it works just fine.

Is the back of this hook unit flat to allow for two face adhesive tape mounting to the side of a stacked dryer?

The back is flat, but does have spaces the included mounting hardware. You should be able to use a double-sided adhesive to attach to your dryer, but that will definitely compromise the amount of weight it will hold.

Two screws in the wall that you then hang this on. Be sure to use wall anchors, if necessary.
