Great Item But Better Instructions NeededI bought this to replace a similar soap dish that was metal and had begun rusting. However, the instructions for mounting it are not very clear and I initially had problems getting it to stay attached. My husband had better luck getting it to attach firmly, but it has come down a couple of times when accidentally struck when one of us is showering.
I do still like it, just haven't quite figured out the secret to keeping it attached until I want to take it down for cleaning.

Gadgets for Cruise Ship AddictsI have several of these large hooks plus some smaller ones but needed a couple more. They work well on the glass window of our cruise ship cabin-either inside or outside (when in port). I can hang hats or lightweight jackets to keep them out of the way but still handy. They're great for damp swimsuits-hang them up, close the curtain and my solar dryer is ready to go--assuming the sun is out, that is!
I've never had a hook fall off yet. Love 'em!

SERIOUS suction powerI read the reviews before purchasing these, as I naturally don't have good luck with suction cups, and was nervous.
I bought a pack despite the occasional terrible review, and I was a little concerned - some of the blue dye from the packaging was stuck to the corner of the suction cup, and I thought it would hurt.
Lo and behold, I followed the suction cup directions, and it worked just fine on my glossy bathroom tile. I bought another pack for more stuff, and they hold just fine. We use them for wet loofas, shower squeegee, and drying washcloths. It holds just fine.
The first time I installed it, I just used my finger to brush off any residue before applying it. The second time (we removed it to clean the bathroom surfaces), I applied on a freshly clean glossy tile, and my husband was unaware of the "let sit for 24 hours" rule and hung our stuff right back up within an hour. Didn't matter, they stick just fine.
Oh, and they look phenomenal, and are super functional. The hook is a really deep hook, not some wussy thing.
If YOU have problems with it, I would recommend trying it on a different surface to see if the cup is actually the problem. Maybe suction cups never work for you due to the surface you're wanting to put a suction cup on.

doesn't hold upI wanted a hook to hold a shower cap---maybe one ounce in weight. This did not stay up, even on tile, even after wetting the surface before applying. Very disappointing.

Just perfectI did not want to drill into the beautiful white subway tile in my newly-remodeled bathroom! These hooks are exactly what I needed to hold back the shower curtains on either end of my gorgeous slipper clawfoot tub. I tied gray ribbon around each hook, which I then tie to the curtains when I draw them back. The result is lovely, with the hooks completely invisible and the walls undamaged!

Bath HooksThey are pretty good so far. I purchased two of them to hang shower poufs and they are still stuck to the wall. I don't think they can handle anything too heavy though. When I first put them on the wall, one of them fell to the bath tub floor with nothing hanging on it. When I stuck it back on the wall, I used a little more force and it has not fallen off since. I have tiled bathroom walls-not the shiny subway tiles kind-mine are kind of a dry/matte tile (not really sure how it explain it) which is prob why the suction is not that strong. I am pretty sure that if you used these on a mirror, glass, or shiny kind of tile the suction would be amazing.

Useful, but suction could be strongerWe've been using these hooks in our bathroom for years. They hold up pretty well overall, but after two or three months of holding anything that weighs more than a plain scrubbing pouf (the kind without a handle), they lose their grip and fall off.
Fortunately, they usually go right back up (they stick better if you wet the suction cup first), but the only way we've found to keep this from happening is to move them around about once a month, before they've reached the point when they'll fall. And they don't last forever—we typically have to replace them every few years because the suction cups are worn out.
Don't get me wrong, though—I really like these hooks. Despite my complaint about their suction, they still hold better than any other suction-cup hooks we've tried (and we've tried several). The heaviest thing we hang on them is a long-handled scrubby pouf that weighs less than a pound, and these are the only suction-cup hooks we've found that can hold that and stay on the wall for more than a week. I just wish they were even stronger so that we didn't have to worry about it.

Strong suction, brittle plasticI really like the strong suction achieved through the lever action. I use these to hang various things in my shower with Corian walls.
Occasionally the suction cups let go and things drop to the floor of the shower. This wouldn't be a big deal, except for the fact that eventually the impact causes cracks right where the hook attaches to the suction cup. Or perhaps that is a natural stress point and it falls because of the cracking. In either case the hook is unusable at that point. This has happened to two different Power Lock items in 2 years.
I wonder if all of the great reviews on here are from people that have not had the product for very long.

Suction cups helpI have had to reset these a couple of times, but am still happy with them. They are hard to set up - my hand strength is not 100%. I like that they can be repositioned and will make the move when I leave this home. They keep my shower organized and hold the wet scrubby so it can dry.

Didn't stay put in the showerI purchased the suction cups for use in the shower to hang my shower puff and just couldn't get them to stay put. I didn't try them anywhere else, but it looks like other reviewers liked them. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't have good luck with this product.

Great ProductWorks well on Glass - be sure to get the right size. I use the large ones for towels and bathrobes in my Bathroom. Small ones work for handtowels and washcloths. Also, works better on glass than tile, esp for heavier items.

Did the job.Clean the tile, Suction cups under hot water for a few seconds, suction to the tile = Still there. Used this to hang Granddaugthers ( 3 Months) wash tub in the shower, so it's out of the way and dries very nice. Used two suction cups so it's nice and even.

Would not recommendI installed these according to the directions provided by The Container Store. I installed the hooks on GLASS and they constantly slide down the wall when a towel is hung on them. I had the same issue with the soap dish (installed on glass) and the larger shampoo/bottle holder that I installed on porcelain tile.

Lock Hooks FailI found these hooks very disappointing. One never stuck to the shower at all. The second one stuck fine at the beginning but fell off every couple of weeks although all that was hung on it was a net loofah.

Strong suction cupI bought this large power lock hooks and I'm very satisfied with it. It's much bigger than what I expected. It 's indeed a strong suction cup. It never falls ever since I sucked it on the wall in my bathroom. Highly recommend this product!

Very good and Very Bad... That's LifeThe hook that works properly is very good at holding a bath brush on the shower wall.
Unfortunately the second hook will not adhere to the wall and is completely useless.

Power Lock HookThe hooks work well. They are easy to install and are staying up. I put one on the bathroom door to hang my robe on. I like that I didn't have to make a hole in the door. I got the medium but should have gotten the big ones. Good product.

Awesome!!These hooks are totally awesome!! :D I've always had problems with suction cups falling off when using them in bathrooms, but these hooks stay put. They're easy to put up, and they don't drop off like regular hooks. If you're looking at these, buy them, you won't regret it!! :D

Hooked on them!Good, sturdy hooks. I have a couple in my bathroom. They're big enough for a towel and small enough to hold a shower pouf. All plastic means they won't rust like the suction cups with metal hooks so they're good for the shower.

Great for travelingHave you ever been in a hotel room and needed extra hooks? I don't know why, but there never seem to be enough! I started traveling with these, and use them for hanging up face towels, bath towels, shower shoes, etc. I realized I could use a few extra, and even got my husband some for his bags. It's so much easier to hang a towel on a hook, I don't mind taking these along as an easy travel tool so they don't end up on the floor.

How much weight can these hold? And if u double up and hang 2-3 will it hold more weight? NOTHING sticks to my trailer shower
Please help lol or suggest something that might work the shower wall is all one plastic piece but it has a wavy texture the only thing I can get to stick to it so far are regular command hooks but I need something to put shampoo etc bottles in?
Our town burned down along with everything my kids and I owned so we are living in a trailer until our lots get cleared so we can begin again but I’m running into a lot of little problems like this because there’s no room so we are having to go up and use the walls to elevate things any suggestions or help would be so appreciated ty!! I just raised $ to eventually buy your rolling carts to use for TV trays lol so hopefully we will have those soon thanks again

Suction cups work best on very clean, smooth surfaces like glass, fiberglass, glossy tile or mirrors. If you find yourself challenged with a different surface altogether, consider our suggestion below.
