way better than fabric photo boxesI was looking for a long term storage solution for my photos. This is the best that I could find! I transferred all my photos from fabric/cardboard boxes to this container. I labeled each little photo container with a date or event category. Now when family comes over, memory lane is much more organized! I was hesitant to buy because of the price, but it is worth it. The only unavoidable drawback is that I will have to find another solution for my photos that are larger than 4x6. I will be purchasing another for "growth" very soon. Also important to note...the shape of this carrier is a real space saver!

Not just for pictures!My 9-year old daughter loved the colors of the small boxes. We are storing all the “little” collectibles out there now - I.e. Shopkins. It’s nice that you can pick out one container and not make a big mess everywhere. Fun and helpful product not just for photos!

Photos Finally OrganizedPrior to this purchase, i had 4 photo boxes full of unorganized pictures. I never knew where to find what with the exception of my most recent photos. I used my label maker and categorized by Childhood, School Years, Family, etc.
The containers come clasp-up but you can turn them upside down so the label is visible and it still closes just fine. I also quickly realized that I'd need two of these instead of one so I kept the colors consistent with labels and ended up doing 3 colors per box so that each category was together.

Great for storageThe darker blue color was disappointing as it is much darker than it appears in the picture, it's nearly a solid color, therefore you can't see what is inside.
I use these containers for everything, I carry one in my purse to hold the small items that use to end up in the bottom. Two of them are in my car console to hold small items, useful in drawers, etc anywhere you'd like to contain small things. I bought the set because it was cheaper than buying each case individually.

Great storage!My daughter teaches high school math. She had laminated task cards for her students. I had cut them out after she laminated them and needed a way to group and store them. She had some clear boxes but they weren’t large enough for the cards. I found these boxes with the storage container. They are for 5 x 7 photos but worked great for my/ daughter’s needs. I love all of the storage solutions at The Container Store! Always great quality and price!

Replacing Photo albumsI am thrilled to remove more than 75 photo albums from shelves and closets in our home. The photo storage carrier assisted me, as I sorted through years of photos. The translucent cases allowed me to detail years/events on the individual cases, making chronologically order possible. The 5 cases consolidated my almost 8,000 photos into a manageable and easy to locate system. The cases will keep dust from collecting on the photos. Amazing Photo ProjectMy son died recently, and I was searching for a system to more easily organize and safely store all my old photos of him. His name is Noah, so when I found this rainbow option I knew I had to have it. Losing a child is the hardest thing I've ever done, and my grief is still very heavy. But, this photo project was a blessing. I enjoyed looking at all of my sons old pictures, and I'm sorry that I'm almost finished. I'm going to have them scanned, and the owner of the photo store said I can just bring the whole carrier in and they will scan them into folders by date for me. I'm planning to purchase more of these. I'd like to store all of my photos the same way.

12th Purchase!!!I don't know why but I certainly like this storage carrier! Kept on buying for myself and as retirement gifts for my friends. They all raved about it and so nice that we all can organize our pictures. I put labels on each inner case for easy reference. I have so many pictures. It is easier to store them this way then in a photo album. Each kid has their separate box and I sorted them by activities also. I used my label maker to mark each box. absolutely perfectI have hundreds of old printed photos that I removed from albums so I could scan and keep them in digital format. These storage boxes proved to be the perfect solution for what to do with those old photos. And now I'm inclined to store all new printed photos the same way. I like the look of photo albums but there is much to be said for the practicality of these boxes. The only dilemma now is deciding if photos should be categorized by chronology or subject.

Any suggestions on what to use to separate groups of photos inside inner box.
