Perfect to keep sports equipment organizedThis unit is great! We had several bins to keep sports equipment but oftentimes you had to dig to get the smaller items and created a mess. This unit is sturdy, neat and it stores more than anticipated. It’s easy for the kids to just dump their stuff and still looks neat. Everything is easily accessible and contained.

Functional but doesn’t hide junkThis is functional for what I bought it for and I like its simplicity and clean lines. It isn’t as useful as it could be though, because the big buckets are just open and don’t help organize anything. It would also be better if they were enclosed so you couldn’t see a bunch of junk in them.

Is the top mesh rack/basket removable?

You can choose to not install the top rack on this storage unit.
Once installed, it would require tools to remove.

Can this be used outdoors?

I think this will have no problem in a covered location outside like a covered deck or patio. It's steel, so although very durable, could still rust overtime if exposed to elements.
