How does the 326 cu in. volume in one of your units convert to my usage?
I am packing gift boxes (16inx12inx4in) of food filled glass jars, not for shipping, and need to know how to determine how much of the material is needed for each, since I don't know the density factor.

To calculate the volume (cubic inches) of your box, you need to multiply width x length x depth. One 16" x 12" x 4" box is 768 cu. in. So, each of your boxes should be able to hold two packages of Natural Excelsior plus the glass jars you wish to pack.
