These work in a small office kit to hold paper clips, map tacks & spare staples. They're also good for separating small to medium size pairs of earrings; and, you can clearly see what's inside. The only downside is that they don't come in other sizes.

can't find scratchless one for clutch DIY project
The latch isn't too promising -- hopefully you don't drop it because it will probably break so the plastic isn't sturdy. other than that, for a little stock up on tiny things, it's a great box.
