Mine is in the pocket that runs along the bottom of my door, I have those pockets on both the passenger and driver side doors, mine is on the driver side.

What is hammer tip made from?

A local news channel did a segment where they tested this type of tool and it was not able to break the auto glass due to material used on hammer. The tip was not steel and would not break the glass.
