Long and never wrongIn most cases screws are screws, right? In this case, I loved the fact that these screws were so long, they could work in whatever situation needed. Besides the fact that they come in packs of 10 so you don't have to chase an entire container of screws around.
do you know if this is a #8 or #10 screw? what is it made out of - steel?

Will these wood screws penetrate a cinderblock wall behind my drywall?
This wall was originally an exterior wall made of cinder block. There is a thin layer of polystyrene insulation, 3/4 inch plywood and then 1/2 inch drywall. Just wondering if I should buy shorter screws than the elfa 2 1/4 length wood screws?

We recommend masonry screws, in conjunction with a compound drill, to install your solution securely to your cinderblock wall.

What screw diameter are these (i.e. #8, #10, etc)?
The descriptions only shows the 2 1/2" length.

The diameter of the head of the screw is 1/2", it requires a 1/8th drill bit.
