How stiff are the nylon bristles?

How are you supposed to release the brush out of the pan when it's snapped in place and so snug?

It doesn't appear there is a place on the handle to be able to wrap your fingers around the round handle to release it from the pan. What are you supposed to do to realize the brush from the pan?

The plastic is slightly flexible, so the brush snaps out and then locks back into place.
