Sorry I don't have any teflon pans and use Scan Pans which are rated for both metal, and non metal utensils. The brush is stiff, abrasive, similar to a nail brush if that helps.

Yes. Easy to remove to clean container and replace sudsy water. Just tip container over. This is a good looking and well thought out product.

Can the brush and stand be placed in the dishwasher?

We do not recommend putting the brush and stand in the dishwasher. For cleaning, please fill the dish with a solution of white vinegar and soda, then wash it with dishwashing liquid and water.
