Traditional Decor FriendlyI have a house with smallish rooms and minuscule closets. In addition, my bedroom has a colonial decor, Most containers are very modern and very plastic. I purchased two square farmhouse boxes, one small, one deeper. I found that I could put my everyday shirts rolled up on the bottom with some folded nicer shirts on top in the deeper box. This made it easy to access any shirt in the box. Then I rolled up my everyday pants and arranged them by color and fabric in the smaller box. Then i stacked the smaller box on top of the larger box and placed the stack next to my colonial short chest of drawers. The look of the boxes blended perfectly with the colonial style of the chest, and the box sizes allow me to access my everyday things without going in and out of the drawers of the chest. I'm going to purchase another set for other everyday items and an under the bed box for out of season things. My only concern is about the sturdiness and durability comments from other reviewers. Time will tell.

Does what I need!Needed this to store some things that didn't fit on the shelf beneath it so the room doesn't look so cluttered. It definitely does the job! Flimsy bottom, FYI, you can add your own cardboard to the bottom if you'd like. I just need it to sit there, doesn't get a lot of use since what's inside is mainly for rare use. Looks great, neat and tidy!

Clean linesThese look very nice on the shelf--exactly what I was going for--clean lines, subtle/neutral colors. And, I don't need to access them every day, so the cardboard construction and single line stitching won't be a problem.
But, unlike the picture, there are only 2 handles on this box--on the front and back (the longest sides). Mine do not have handles on the 2 shortest sides.
I have shelving from the Container Store, and can fit 1 box with 3 bracket holes between shelves (marked as 7" on the diagram for the in-store designer). I stacked 2 boxes with 9 bracket holes showing (my design diagram says 11" between shelves).

Very Nice but I'm a BoneheadThese look very nice on the shelf--exactly what I was going for--clean lines, subtle/neutral colors. And, I don't need to access them everyday, so the cardboard construction and single line stitching won't be a problem. Buu-ut... pay attention to the dimensions, not the name--these are NOT cubes. Even though I knew that when I ordered them, I was still indignant when they didn't fit on the shelves that were supposed to be 12" apart in height. Duh. As salt in the wound, I also realized that when your shelf diagram (from the Container Store designer) says the shelves are 12" apart, that doesn't mean 12" of clearance. You lose a generous 1/4" to the shelf itself, and another 1" if you have the decorative fascia. Duh. These will fit if you have 10 bracket holes showing between your shelves. (The fascia is 1-1/4".)

A Little Good but FlimsyIt was the perfect size for what I needed, but it's basically cardboard covered in fabric and if you even lay a few pairs of jeans on top of it when it's not under the bed the top will sag, ruining the structure.
I would recommend spending a dollar more and getting a good plastic container as this one just won't hold up.
Is the color of the stripe vintage navy blue or grey/charcoal?

Looking for ideas to use inserts to make compartments with each of these boxes
I'm looking for a solution in underbed storage for my granddaughter's doll clothing and accessories. I want to create compartments like the underbed shoe storage boxes have, but I think having a zipper top is not practical for frequent and repeated use by a young child. Do you have or can you recommend products that would fit inside to create compartments? Thank you.

NOT actually a cube.
15-1/8" wide x 11-1/4" deep x 12-7/8" high
The hinge for the lid is on a 15" side. (I think of it as the back side)
There is no handle on the back side. 3 handles total on this bin.

Is the box breathable?
I need to store a leather jacket (I don't want to hang it). Is this box breathable? Would it be safe to store a leather jacket? If not, is there another box you could recommend?
