Awful assembly designThis is a good quality piece. However, the assembly is awful. Wooden pegs to connect and they need wood glue or it falls apart while assembling! Also, this is not white. It’s off-white, cream colored.

Terrible qualityI wasn't expecting this item to feel like it was made of solid oak, but the "finish" literally peeled off when I tried to remove a warning sticker that was on one of the panels. See photo below, to tools/knives etc were used, just my fingernails.
Various dents and blemishes on arrival too despite what seemed to be careful and ample packaging.

Incredibly unsturdyWobbles from side to side. Cannot put anything on it or in it. Was going to use it in the nursery but do not trust it. The paint was also uneven and defective. Contacted customer service and told us to take it to a store for merchandise credit. The nearest store is 40 miles away so we are just throwing it away. Incredibly poor quality! Our larger $30 unit from another store is way better. Save your money.

Deceiving looksI bought this for toy storage. The shelf unit is easy to put together and it’s sturdy enough. BUT it’s covered ina plastic material to make it white. It’s not painted nor stained. The plastic peels off super easily. Also it comes with these pathetic stickers to cover the screw holes on the top. Seriously pathetic. I bought the baskets as well based on recommendations from the store staff. However they chip and I told them the intended use. By the time you buy four baskets and the shelf you might as well spend for a better quality piece.

DiasppontingThis is a disappointingly cheap bookshelf. There are wooden dowels and pre-drilled holes for screw but they don’t line up. I’m a designer and a builder so I’d say what should have been a 15 minute assembly turned into an hour. I had to scrap the wooden dowels in some areas and re drill new holes for the screws so it would somewhat fit together flush. Well not all the pieces are perfectly square so it’s not going to come out flush regardless.
The veneer was already popping up like it was ready to crack off and there were several scratches up areas. Disappointing for my first furniture purchase from the Container Store.
Strangely enough, rather than plugs for the exposed screws they provided stickers which do nothing for the aesthetic.
I hope this review will be played as my initial one never was.

Sturdy StorageI purchase this unit to organize cleaning supplies in a closet in my house. It was the perfect width and height for the location I had in mind. Once assembled, it seems really sturdy and definitely holds all the assorted odds and ends perfectly.
I did have some difficulty assembling it. Every piece was labeled which made the picture-only assembly easy to follow. However, when I was at the point where I could actually screw everything together, one side was a little "off" and I had to "force" the pieces together - which was not an easy task being only one person. I did succeed and hope it doesn't "explode" later down the line.
Is this a true white color, or is this an off-white?

Can this be stacked onto of the Nantucket toy bin?

The dimensions of the Nantucket bin are 32-3/4" x 16" x 17" h
so while this cubby will sit on top of the Nantucket bin, it won't be flush.

Our 4-Cube Cubby Shelving is CARB compliant with California's Composite Wood Products Regulation having to do with reducing formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products and features a warning label: 04/19 EPA TSCA Title VI compliant for Formaldehyde.
