Will these rugs react or discolor vinyl plank flooring?
We have vinyl plank flooring - not sure if it is luxe or not- I heard that some rugs with certain types of backing may discolor the flooring.

The backing in the floor mat may react with the polyurethane in your floor coating if left unmoved for prolonged periods of time. In order to prevent such reaction, please occasionally lift, move or shake out your woven floormat.

I would like to match other denim skinny stripe Chilewich door mats I have but the stripes run horizontally. The images on the webpage show both that and shorter vertical stripes. Which is it, please?

How soft is this, is it flat...and does it slide?

It is about 1/8" thick, so a bit thicker than a thin shoe insole. I had read a review saying that it was thin enough for "any door" to clear it, so I'd hoped it woiuld be just slightly thicker than a Chilewich placement. But it is quite a bit thicker than that, so does not fit under my door.

Backing
What kind of backing does this mat have? Is it a rubber type backing? I've had problems with rubber type backing on mats in our bathroom after getting wet, sticking to tile floor and peeling off onto the tile floor.

Chilewich Shag Indoor/Outdoor Mats are tufted from durable extruded yarns that are are bonded to a vinyl backing. They're mold-, mildew-, and chlorine-resistant; phthalate-free. Not for use on top of rubber flooring.
