Can this be used for one side and the standard Rod Holder on the other side?
If I want to place a closet rod next to a drawer frame, can I use this component to hold up one side of the rod and then a standard Rod Holder (that hangs from the bracket) to hold up the other side?

Stability on both sides??
Does this have to have a 16" shelf or drawer on both sides in order for it to be stable enough to hold the rod in place? Or can one side be a 16" drawer/shelf and the other end just a single 16" BRACKET w/no shelf/drawer attached... so only a bracket with the cover/closet rod holder on one end?
