Perfect ItemI attached these directly to my wall making sure at least one side is on a stud. I use them in small narrow utility room to hold everything from large jugs of cleaning fluid to to tools and painting supplies. They have proved to be very sturdy and useful.

Why didn't I try this sooner?It has taken me WAY too long to add sidecars to my Elfa because I've always fit the units into spaces where they just fit. Then I got a gift wrap cart and began to look at that little basket and get ideas... Hey! That would be a good place to keep my flat boxes! ... Hey! I could keep my current knitting project in one of those! ... Hey! Maybe I'd better get a few extras so I'm ready the next time inspiration strikes! I did and it has ;-)

Love the Elfa Accessory BasketI've just purchased the Accessory Basket for my Efla drawer set. I currently have the 32-Compartment Drawer Organizer, but unfortunately, I have an abundance of socks and needed more storage. This basket ended up being the perfect addition for all my athletic socks.

Great Catch-All PieceThis basket hangs on the sides of my son's 7-Runner Wide Frame and works great as a "catch-all" for odds and ends...which keeps them off the floor! :)

would like liners but still 5 star!I used these as shoe baskets in narrow spaces behind my door in my closet. I used media dividers to keep pairs upright. It works so much better than the shoe racks that sit on the floor because shoes can't slide off the racks (which was a major problem for us). They take up no floor space so the floor is completely clear. They didn't use valuable drawer or shelf space like the other elfa shoe components since my husband and I seem to have more shoes than we realized! The rest of the closet was elfa-nize beautifully but if shoe racks had been added we would have lost too much other storage space. I would have liked liners just so the dress shoes had something to sit on but, all in all, this creative solution to narrow spaces in the closet have corraled all of the loose shoes on the floor, made use of typically unusable space, and made us both very happy. Yea!!!

Fantastic elfa Addition!I bought three of these baskets to go along with my custom elfa, which I use as a vanity. I have the wide 7-runner in white mesh, and while I was a bit disappointed that these do not come in mesh, they still are amazingly functional. Since they don't make liners for this item, I used white shelf liner (which I purchased in the kitchen section of the Container Store) to line them so little things stay in place, and nothing slips around or through the grids. I use these to store palettes, makeup removers, extra makeup bags, and other products that I need daily but hate having them all sit out on top. They are a great size - large and sturdy enough to be effective, but not so large they look ridiculous. They were also super easy to install as they just sit right on top of the runner part! Overall this was a great purchase that makes my elfa even more efficient!

Multi-Use BasketWe don't use this basket as it is displayed - instead I had my husband mount 3 of the on the wall in the garage where we come in and out to hold gloves, hats, etc. We re-purposed the ELFA shoe rack and also installed it for hanging scarves. Love it and it's easy to grab what I need to stay warm on the way out the door.

Small items fall through the basket holes. Needs to have liners but these are not available.
Wondering if the baskets are strong enough to hold a hair dryer, curling iron and brush accessories.

Are there accessories for the cabinet depth elfa drawers?

The elfa Hangmate Accessory Basket fits the 21" deep standard elfa Drawer Frames but not the 17-1/4" deep elfa Cabinet-sized Drawer Frames. Only the elfa Ribbon Dispenser can fit onto the sides of either frame size.

Will this rust if comes in contact with water often?
Wondering if it is a good idea to mount this on the shower wall for use as bath toy storage.

Can this be used on the side of Elfa Ventilated Shelves?
I'd like to use this on the side of my Elfa shelving system. Will it attach to the 16" ventilated brackets?

How much weight do they hold?
I am wanting to attach these to the side of an elfa drawer system in my pantry to hold cans and bottles of olive oil. How much weight could they handle just hanging off the side of the drawer system?

We don't recommend our elfa Hangmate Accessory Basket for heavier items such as canned goods and bottles. Our elfa utility Door & Wall Racks (shown below) are better options for storing these items.

Our elfa Hangmates are designed to hang from any runner of our standard elfa Drawer Frames. To use, turn the Hangmate slightly to one side and insert it between the vertical legs of the frame then allow it to rest on the runner for support.
