Available only at The Container Store, this space includes ample Elfa Décor Shelving for open and easily accessible storage. Elfa Mesh Drawers provide storage space for linens, paper goods or recyclables and a White Elfa Mesh Kitchen Cart functions as auxiliary storage as well as a butcher block to prep food. First and Best Elfa Purchase!!I just moved to the area, and live in a small 1 bedroom apartment. The kitchen was very poorly designed, including cabinet space. For someone who cooks everyday, it gave me anxiety trying to find places for all my cooking tools. I met with Lorraine from the Columbus store, and explained my problem with the apartment. I had never seen Elfa prior to this purchase, but man was it incredible! Lorraine designed a butler's pantry for my apartment, and a board behind my sink. I now look forward to coming home, seeing how organized my kitchen is, and the amount of room it now has! Having just moved to Columbus, Elfa gave an entirely new feeling to my apartment, and a very homey feeling. I HIGHLY recommend Elfa and the butler's pantry to anyone looking to revitalize boring, ill designed kitchen space.

We are not sure where to purchase the exact doors as they were a prop, but we've heard a little chalkboard paint goes a long way and could be a viable option to duplicate this look.

minimum width for Elfa 4' pantry?
The description for the Elfa 4' pantry says a minimum of 53" for the space width is needed to accommodate the shelving. However, the parts lists indicates the top mounting bar should be cut to 56". And the specs of the vertical rails plus shelving suggests that a few extra inches might be needed but I don't understand why 5" or more are needed for this 2x24" wide unit. By contrast, the 6' pantry says a minimum width of 75" is needed (so a lot less clearance than for this 4' system).
The reason I ask all of this is that I have only 52" to work with. It seems like the 4' pantry should fit if the top mounting bar is cut to the appropriate size.

This would fit as you would only need 51" of wall space for a 48" inch wide solution to fit.

It appears that you can just use 24" of the 48". I ask because I have a space 28" wide, so I'm looking to put only half of it in.
