Adjustable Standing Desk is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love!! This is a great desk. Perfect size - can hold a laptop stand and still have a writing surface too. I was a little nervous about assembling this myself, but it was relatively easy, and I am not handy! I did not need any extra tools as other reviewers described - the center bolt I was able to easily hand tighten, and I used the tool provided for the final bolt tightening. This is on sale now, and along with my POP discount, I did not waste a single moment purchasing this. My back and shoulders are already thanking me. Next purchase is a cushioned mat for my feet!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great adjustable, movable desk I've been using this desk for several hours a day for two weeks now, and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. It was quite easy to assemble, and I love its modern look & feel. It tucks away nicely in a small alcove in my living room but can easily be rolled around to another part of the room (to face window or the TV or away from bright light, etc.). I mostly use it in a standing position but have also sat at it; it works well both ways. Two things that earned this 4 stars rather than 5: (1) I wish it could a little lower than its lowest position. I'm really short & would love to have another inch or two leeway; (2) it's much easier to move up than to move down. I really have to lean on it to get it to move down. The model at the store didn't have this issue, so maybe over time it will loosen up?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase! Use it everyday.....a little pricey but well worth it . Keep in mind that: “Sitting is the new smoking.”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I insisted upon having a standing desk at work, but realized I slouch off at home. So I was looking for a standing desk that was sturdy but didn't cost too much. I am super pleased with this standing desk. I've been rolling it around the apartment all evening - I can work here, work here, work here. :-) It's a nice flexible addition to my personal project work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multitasking desk! I love that this desk has two heights AND stands on swiveling wheels! In the store, I noted that the desktop surface of the espresso version is grooved, so if you need an absolutely flat surface, buy the white one instead. It assembles easily and quickly, requiring no real muscle or engineering skills, but note: (1) the earlier reviewer is right - you need a real wrench to truly tighten the bolt that secures the central post in place and (2) regarding getting that central bolt in place, Step 5 of the instructions that came with my desk lists the small, cylindrical bolt-tightening tool as part “E,” but, really, it’s Part “F.” Parts “E” are really the three screws that you use to attach the hydraulic lifting mechanism to the bottom of the desk surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for an office setting, especially for my d I’m not a regular container customer, but when outfitting a small office and trying to find organizing tools for everyone, I ran into this workstation. My dream is to have a desk in every single patient exam room. It would allow me to talk to the patient from any vantage point and when tired allow me to stand. Wish it was a bit smaller for those of us who will use it primarily for a laptop

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bedroom desk Works well in small area. Easy to assemble by myself. Operates smoothly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tighten the inner bolt Thanks to the person who recommended tightening the interior bolt to make the desk sturdy. I made sure to do that and I am happy with the results. The desk changes from sitting to standing easily which means changing it lets me alter the way I work several times during each work session.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Sturdy Should be sturdy and better quality for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great concept This was easy to assemble, and it's easy to adjust the height. I tried it in the store first...solid product, very versatile, good price. The unit we received was defective, (the desktop wasn't level). Store was very nice to exchange.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not stable I need a standing desk like the one we had at work. For $300 I was expecting the stability to be decent. However this unit wobble so much I spilled drinks several times. its not stable enough to work standing up so I end up using it at regular table height. Very disappointed since this is the right size I needed for my home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great at work I've had this desk in my office for 3 weeks. I use it as an alternative to sitting for 10 hours. It's just wide enough for a laptop and a stack of papers. It seems really sturdy - I have it on very low pile commercial carpet. I push it out of the way each night and have noticed no issues with it being wobbly. I would recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from unstable workstation For $300 I would expect a stable functioning piece of furniture. When I unpacked and put it together, it seemed just fine. However upon using it the side to side wobble of the desktop was so great, I fear putting anything that could spill or be damaged on it. Very pretty, not very functional, seems poorly made for the price.

Community Q&A

Casters!

Can the casters be removed and replaced with any heavier duty casters that TCS sells like Intermetro?
Asked by: sgshckly
Yes, but they're a difficult size and style to find. You need an M8x1.25 threaded stem caster (a metric size with a 1.25 thread pitch). The best I found had very large (4") wheels, which was actually good for me as I am tall and this raised the overall height of the work surface by about 3". I found it disappointing that this otherwise great desk came with such cheap casters.

Is assembly required? Or does it ship ready to use?

Asked by: DeskMaven
It's 90% assembled. Assembly is easy, requires only one Phillips screwdriver (leverage for the included tube wrenches) and took me under 15 minutes.

No, the tabletop on this workstation does not tilt. Two of the casters lock. I love it. It has made me more productive.

Expresso Adjustable vs Adjustable workstation

What is the difference between the white adjustable workstation for $299 and the Expresso adjustable for the same price? Does expresso refer to the color or is the surface work area smaller?
Asked by: sinjin
I believe it is the same desk, just a difference in table top color. Espresso refers to the color, not the size of the surface work area.

Espresso below table

Under the table, is it chrome or white? it looks white in the visual ?
Asked by: jdfl
The table top is espresso-colored, both top and bottom. The metal base is chrome - no white anywhere.
