Great for small stuffI am using this for varous shells; however, you can only elongate the compartments--which was fine for my purpose. It is not deep, so anything that was taller/higher than just an inch would not fit if you want the lid closed. Other than that, it worked great.

Helpful for storing finished quilt blocks tooOriginally purchased for scrapbooking, but when daughter was no longer interested in that, I started using them for finished quilt blocks until had enough to piece the quilt together. I love scrappy quilts. The fact that they are clear makes such a difference.

Dividers Not FunctionalI purchased this item and have been using it for many months now. It's sturdy, but unfortunately, the dividers do not hold in place. Any time I try to take items out of the bin, the dividers slide upward, thus ruining the divided placement of my small items...It's extremely frustrating. All my other ArtBin products' dividers work very well, and don't move around, not sure why this one just doesn't do the job as well.

Lots in a Little SpaceThis ArtBin Double Deep was my first purchase at the Container Store and both the store and the product are fabulous. With the additional purchase of two inexpensive insert trays I am able to store my current collection of ink, gel, micron, and various art pens and there is still room for more. It easily holds my full collection of mini stamping inks (tins not included), multiple stamping tools, inks, etc. I don’t have the luxury of a studio for my budding art expression so getting everything in a small area, for easy access, is important. The Double Deep meets those requirements.

Super for managing small hobby itemsI make jewelry as a hobby and always have lots of small parts that I need to pull from. This is great and big enough to let me keep everything sorted and accessible, and I can configure the sections to fit my parts. It's lightweight and easy to take with me, and it's stackability means I can expand into more than one with a handy label on the front.

When the lid is closed do the divided compartments spill over into neighboring compartments when the container is tipped on its side?

While the divided compartments do not create an watertight seal, the ArtBin Slim Super Satchel dividers will keep contents from spilling into other compartments when tipped.

What is the layout (with dimensions) of fixed dividers? Can dividers or bins be added to open satchel?

The interior of our ArtBin Medium Divided Super Satchel features four fixed compartments that are 3-3/16" wide and 3-1/4" high. The four compartments can be subdivided in to 3-9/16" cells with the 12 included repositionable dividers.
