Our Adhesive Plate Hangers are a quick, easy and secure way to display collectibles and heirlooms. The hanger attaches to the back of a plate or bowl with a clean, smooth base. It also attaches to decorative items made of wood. A hanging hook and nail are included. To remove, simply soak the item in warm water until the adhesive loosens. Unlike traditional plate hangers, these won't scratch or chip your delicate items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hanger for Plates I found these disks at The Container Store because I have 4 large plates that I want to hang. I also bought 2 small disks for other plates. However, the large plates are painted & the disks did not adhere & actually pulled the paint off the backs of the plates. The small plates are china & glass with no paint on the back & the disks adhered great to those.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hidden plate hanger I was a little leary to try this product, but I am so glad that I did! I have been putting these on all my decorative plates that I want to hang. Very easy too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Product! I collect blue and white transferware plates, and over the years I have lamented the awkward wire hangers that sometimes damage the plate edges, tarnish, and collect dust and debris. These adhesive hangers have solved the problem! They are secure and safer for my plates. I couldn't be happier with this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Plate Hanger Alternative I LOVE antique porcelain, but have always been frustrated with the plate hangers sold at the big box stores. The adhesive plate hangers from The Container Store are game changers. Having the ability to securely hang a pricy piece of porcelain AND not see the brass or steel brackets....it changes the way I decorate with my beautiful pieces.

Terra cotta plates? Command strips on tile?

Will these work on rectangular glazed terra cotta plates? Mine are approx. 5 x 8 inches, including an irregular (handmade) curved lip. What Command Strip or Command Strip-type product works best in conjunction with this product for hanging plates on ceramic tile?
Asked by: KdeF
My guess is that the glaze on the back of porous terra cotta will allow the Leeds disc to adhere to it, but I haven't found any manufacturer's guidelines on weight limitation, I have only used the Leeds on china plates up to 10" diameter. What kind of damage free hook can you find for your ceramic tile wall? A hook that would allow your plate to rest flat against the wall? I've had good results using Command Brand damage free hooks on ceramic bathroom tile for light-weight items, but don't know if Command makes a damage free hook able to support the weight of a terra cotta plate. Command hooks that hold more weight are relatively large hooks.... Maybe worth contacting Command, they make so many varieties of hooks. Otherwise, consider drilling the tile to place a sturdy hook.

Can I use this on my Jasper Wedgwood plates

These plates have no glaze front or back
Asked by: AZGrama
The instructions on my Leeds packaging says that the disc "has excellent adhesion to wood, hardboard, and blockboard." I'm guessing that fine porcelain without a glaze should work as well as wood of a similar weight, wouldn't you agree? I have not seen any manufacturer's recommendations about weight limitations. My heaviest plate, hung with a 100mm disc weighs 1.25 pounds.

Is it safe to stick this on the back of Wedgwood 10" plates?

I have 4 Chicago Commemorative Wedgwood plates, numbered and printed on the back. Is this product safe to stick over the printing that is glazed into the plate? Also, what size would be appropriate? The description doesn't mention anything about weight.
Asked by: bk49ER
Safe? Humm... That's a loaded question. I have never seen manufacturer's guidelines for weight limitations using the Leeds discs (available in 75 mm and 100 mm diameter disc size). The largest, heaviest plate I've hung on a 100 mm disc has been a 10" plate weighing 1.25 pounds. I've used the Leeds Display Disc Plate hangers for three years, They have worked well for supporting my plate collection on the dry wall. I have not used the wall picture hanger supplied with the disc; I use better anchored screw hooks. Manufacturer instructions state that the disc can be removed by soaking the plate in warm water. Can your plates be soaked for a prolonged time without damage? Can the bottom be lightly scoured without damaging the inscription? I have never removed a disc, so don't know if the adhesive (the glue... It is good old fashioned, water soluble glue) would leave a discoloration on the bottom of my antique plates. Even if it might leave a stain, I want to enjoy my collection, so I don't care. If the resale value is of primary importance, I would not use an adhesive hanger, but consider a wired plate holder (but these can chip plate edges) or have a fine art framer put them in a shadow box suitable for hanging.

What color is the front of the adhesive disc?

The dish I want to have is clear, so it will show through.
Asked by: MommyMagicRocks
Well, the "glue" is translucent (not transparent) so both sides of the Leeds disc hanger appear the same, yellow on the ones I've purchased.

I want to hang a collection of bowls each w a base of about 4 inches. Do you have an adhesive hanger that will work?

These are antiques, less than 1 1/2 pounds each.
Asked by: Dwende
I began using "Leeds Display" Disc Plate hangers in 2016 and gradually came to trust them with my antique china plates. The heaviest plate I've hung was 10" diameter, weighing 1.25 pounds, using the 4" (100 mm) disc. I have never seen Leeds manufacturer's guidelines for weight limitations. My gut feeling is that the Leeds disc will work with your 4" base bowls that weigh 1.5 pounds.. [Like me, you may have to decide that the joy of daily seeing that beautiful plate collection adorning the wall is worth the risk of a loss if the Leeds disc fails to hold. However, I do not trust the wall hook that is encluded with the purchase of the Leeds disc; I use/prefer an anchored screw hook.]

23' DIAMETER BAMBOO PLATTER

HI. I have a pretty large platter that I want to hang on the wall & I don't see any responses for an item platter - not plate - sized. It isn't too heavy because it is made of bamboo that's painted on one side - but it is 23' diameter. Will it work? Will it need more than 1 DISC?
Asked by: kilbs
Humm... Light weight is good but I'm wondering about the porousness of the bamboo backing which might interfere with the ability of the adhesive on the Leeds disc hanger to hold. If a platter is oval, I might try applying two discs so that the platter doesn't easily shift from the position on the wall which you desire, and if the adhesive doesn't hold, it's unlikely both disc would detach at the same time, giving you the opportunity to remove the platter from the wall before it would crash. Good luck.

Is the metal loop rust proof?

Is the metal loop rust proof? In past, I've used unfolded paper clips to hang plates, but some rust and leave a tough-to-remove stain on the plate.
Asked by: terry23
In 3 years I haven't noticed any rusting of the metal loop, but my plates are in a dry room... Not a bathroom or kitchen. The chrome finished loop seems to be more substantial than a paper clip. (Brass paper clips don't rust, do they?) Perhaps folding a piece of transparent 3M packing tape over the loop, then putting a hole through the taped loop would protect the plate, or wall, from a rusting loop in a humid environment?

If you want to take the plate off the wall, does this ruin the plate?

Does the adhesive come off when you are ready to take the plate down?
Asked by: razz22
I have used Leeds Display Disc Plate Handers since 2016. Ten inch diameter, weighing 1.25 # is the largest and heaviest I've hung. The instructions that come with the hanger indicate that prolonged soaking of the disc in warm water allows it to be removed.... If you can soak your plate without damaging it, I expect you should be able to remove the disc without damage to the plate. I've not had any reason to remove a disc yet.
