Rated 5 out of 5 by from Storing Family Heirlooms I have a collection of fine clothing and linens passed down through my family. I have been afraid to store them in anything plastic that won’t breathe, so I was glad to find a paper box that is acid free. It took me two tries to assemble the box, but after I got it the other boxes and lids were easy to fold together. They are very pretty and come with nice sheets of tissue. As a plus, the cedar drawer liners sold at The Container Store fit in them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love These Tissues I have several uses for these tissues. Because they are acid free I can use them for wrapping up family heirlooms such as my kids’ baptismal clothes, or grandma’s hand sewn quilt, and not worry about discoloration or deterioration. My favorite use is to crumple the tissue to put in my handbags when I store them. This keeps the bags from folding in on themselves and creasing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great archival storage box This box is perfect for archival storage. It’s a large size and fits nicely under the bed. It also comes with acid free tissue paper. Worth the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for clothing This was the perfect size for old scrapbooks and clipping materials. I had a rotting cardboard box stuffed with photo albums and decaying photos, newspaper clippings, and documents from my husband's grandmother that needed to be stabilized and stored ASAP. The standard document sized archival boxes weren't quite large enough, and two of these did the trick. I used the provided tissue paper to insulate the awkward shaped items from shifting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impromptu Hat box I bought myself a custom made belero hat and needed a hat box. The regular study ones are too small and the other hat boxes are very flimsy. I needed something to protect the shape and keep dust off of my belero.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great storage This was a complete space saver compared to the box the dry cleaners preserved my wedding dress in. Very easy to assemble and very sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good size, good quality My wife had to fold her wedding dress slightly to fit it in the box, but it wasn't tightly packed by any means. It's only been stored for a couple of weeks, so no idea how well preserved it will be in the long run, but the sales person at the store assured me that this type of box/paper is what all the museum quality storage places we're hoping for the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for storing those priceless items. I bought 2 large and three small archival garment boxes. and am going to order more. They are perfect for storing those priceless items like my mothers wedding dress and veil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits the Bill I purchased the archival underbed Garment Storage Box as a container for my nearly 40 year old wedding gown. I'm very pleased with the box. It comes with archival quality tissue as well. The box is sturdy and very roomy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good for wedding dress storage My daughters wedding dress and cathedral veil fit well in the box. I did buy extra tissue but may not have needed but felt more the better? Easy to assemble. Fits under the bed just fine. Can't tell you if it prevents yellowing or not but I thought worth the try. Had a owner of a wedding dress consignment shop tell me not to buy the 250$ preservation kit from cleaners, said about 50% of dresses that come in one of those is yellow. This is a much cheaper option. Did have the dress professionally cleaned first. Would give 5 stars if I knew for sure no yellowing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great solution! My wedding dress had been stored in a HUGE box that didn't fit anywhere. Because it was not a big, poufy ballgown style, it fit beautifully in this size box. The box was easy to assemble and included plenty of acid-free tissue. I am happy that my dress is protected, and that I am able to store it in a box a quarter the size of the drycleaner's box. VERY pleased with this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase The archival garment storage box is perfect for storing my children's baby clothes. I saved my favorite things from when they were small and they are protected in this wonderful box. If fits perfectly on the shelf in the closet. I liked it so much, I am going to buy more for other keepsakes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a huge necessity I bought this box to correctly store a very fragile set of quilting pieces that date back to the 1870's! I KNEW the best place to find it would be the Container Store! They always have everything I need!. In addition I bought a smaller box and the acid free paper to store a very special ring pillow that I'm creating for a bridge. It will be a new treasure, and stored correctly from its beginning!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Size Box... Larger box than I thot, but can put some other items in . Can't tell you about how box/tissue haven't had it long enough. This is a wonderful item to preserve things that can't be washed/dry cleaned.. At least it makes me feel like I'm doing something good w/my Grandmother's dancing gown (circa 1920's)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wise purchase After 50 years, I decided I should have something in which to store my wedding dress - not my cedar chest! I ordered this box, which came just before Christmas (a surprise). I also ordered the extra acid-free paper which was recommended in the product description, but probably wouldn't have needed it. A good purchase -- and it does fit under the bed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Memory saver Just what I needed. My new daughter in law asked that I keep her wedding veil and I wanted something that would keep it safe. This is perfect and I know that when she looks at it in the future it will look the same as it does today !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest Storage Idea I used the Archival Garment Storage Boxes with the acid free tissue paper to store my custom made silk drapes!!!!! i only had to fold them once using tissue paper in between the folds and on top. I am confident that they will remain in perfect condition until I need them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, sturdy box I bought the small archival box to store my wedding veil. It was more spacious than I anticipated, which is great because I was able to fold the veil with fewer folds. The box came with plenty of tissue paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Purchased this product to store some family heirlooms. Having worked in the museum industry, I was looking for something that would be safe for textiles as well as paper products. These boxes have ample room to nicely and securely, but not too tightly wrap and protect my items. Note - the boxes that I bought come with acid free tissue paper which I was not aware of. Check to see if there is tissue included in the box you are buying before buying the separate package of acid-free tissue. The good thing about the extra tissue package is that the sheets of paper are HUGE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Kimono Storage I had such a difficult time finding a good acid-free box that was the right size for storing my antique kimono, and I'm so glad that I eventually found this one! It's just the right size! The box is also high quality and very sturdy, and the tissue paper it comes with is perfect for wrapping the kimono to keep the colors from bleeding. I will definitely be ordering more of these in the future!

Storing multiple items

I would like to use this to store 2 communion gowns and 1 christening gown would these fit without causing damage to them?
Asked by: Asmms
yes you will have plenty of room for these 3 articles. The boxes are large and roomy. I've folded and stored 3-4 adult dresses in one of these boxes.

Is the Acid-Free Tissue (30" x 40") that's sold as a separate item (20 pkg) buffered or unbuffered?

The Acid-Free Tissue doesn't have it's own product page, and is only found accompanying this garment box. I'm inquiring about the extra package of tissue which is not included with the garment box. Please, is it buffered or unbuffered? Is it lignin-free? Thank you.
Asked by: justanotherconsumer
the extra package of tissue sold should have it's own product page. If not, check with the store itself.

I'm looking to store my children's larger art projects in this archival box for it's size.

Your smaller photo archive box won't hold the larger projects. If this Under Bed Garment Storage Box isn't appropriate is there anything else you could suggest?
Asked by: TeamTrent
This box is long enough to hold formal dresses folded at the waist to fit. There would be plenty of room for many art projects as long at they are flat pieces. If you need something smaller there is a smaller garment storage box that might due.

Is it advisable to only put one garment in each box?

Or is it alright to put a few garments in one box it?
Asked by: Amy3333
I put several garments in one box, but used the tissue included to wrap them individually. Also, I tried not to overstuff since the lid does not lock.
