A tip for petite girlsI bought the Single Garment Bags in both the "suit" length and the "dress" length. I love the fact that they are clear, don't smell like plastic, and zip from the side (facilitating access). Since I am petite (5'3") and most of my dresses are cocktail-length (just above the knee), the "suit" bag is a much more appropriate length for my needs. If you are taller or have longer dresses, you might need the extra foot or so of length that the "dress" bag offers. (I did keep one "dress" bag for my coats.) I was able to comfortably fit 4-5 dresses in each "suit" bag. My husband wants me to buy some suit bags for him!

Great Buy!I bought a few of the bags, liked them so much that I went back to The Container Store to buy a few more. I thought they would stick together if I hung them next to one another. They don't stick at all. I think the term "single garment" is a little misleading because you can definitely fit more than one garment in a bag. I expected to have the "new plastic smell" in my closet but to my surprise, that was not the case.

Great Garment BagsFirst of all, I was getting tired of the dust on my clothes and have for years been complaining to myself and husband. Therefore, I searched online at the Container Store, read the comments, and decided to purchased a garment bag. The best garment bag out there. I'm a small person and this particular bag holds 6 dresses and they are not crammed. The bag itself is sturdy and there is no smell. I actually have more room in my closet. I've purchased more and am so satisfied. A MUST for anyone.

Great bags for storage.I purchased these bags to store my wool clothes during the summer. I got tired of spending money for moth proof bags from the cleaners every year. I added a cedar ring to the top of the bag to keep the moths away. These bags are really sturdy and are made of a higher quality plastic than I expected.

Storage Made EasySpring cleaning always includes dry cleaning and storing wool sweaters and coats worn to places that are colder than Austin! Especially those items that I don't want eaten by moths. The clear plastic makes it easy for me to find certain clothing items. For moth-proof storage I've left each item in its dry cleaning bag and placed the covered coat inside the clear garment bag. I also purchased cedar rings to place over the hanger hole and cedar balls for the bottom of the bag.

Great ProductI've purchased a few of the PEVA garment bags for my dresses and suits. They are wonderful. My clothing is protected from dust and because the plastic is clear I can see what I have in each bag. These are my go to garment bags.

Excellent!I purchased two suit bags and one dress bag and they are fantastic! I love that I can see my blouses, jackets and coats easily. The zippers work very well and there is absolutely no odor to the bags. As always, Container Store customer service is the best!

Costume ContainmentI bought several of these for my daughter's dance costumes. I use one per costume and even used the packaging as an accessory holder which rests on the hanger. The short one is ideal for every costume (my daughter is 5'3") and tights and undergarments rest comfortably in the bottom of the bag.

Great option for protecting your clothingI use these to protect sweater and suits. They actually can hold 2 suit, and several sweaters if they're hung on hangers with multiple rungs. It makes it easy to see what's in the bag, which means that the clothes get worn, but are still protected from moths. I keep a cedar plank at the bottom of each one.

the dress bag is the best sizeI bought the suit bag and dress bag- the gown bag is really unnecessary even for gowns (which fit in the dress bag). Each bag can hold 2-3 heavy wool coats. Even though these are not natural fiber I believe they are superior because you can see through them.

Very usefulThese bags are great, simple, light, big enough to store several garments in. It's nice to be able to protect better clothing. I've bought several of the suit bags and the dress bags, and they are both really useful. The PEVA is of good quality, not wimpy. My only cavil is I wish the zipper was a bit easier to access and use (not a big deal). I also wish they made a shorter dress bag!! Maybe I'm just too short :)

Are these acid free
I have read about the need for acid free garment bags for storing valuable clothing. Apparently some plastics give off gases that harm the garments. I know the PEVA is better for the environment than PVC but are these acid free?

There are low amounts of nitric acid in PEVA material. We recommend our 100% unbleached Natural Cotton Gusseted Hanging Bags for the storage and preservation of sensitive, valuable or vintage garments.

Our PEVA Single Garment Bags are a good moth preventative, but they have an opening at the very top to allow hangers to pass through, so the products are not considered airtight or moth-proof. The addition of a moth repellent like Moth-Away Repellent Sachets or Cedar Balls provides and extra measure of protection.

Can TCS add a shorter (35" h) suit bag to this line to accommodate clothes hung on upper rods & women's clothes? These bunch up on shelf between rods.
I have purchased all three sizes of these zippered bags, as well as the shoulder protectors. While I am very satisfied with the products, I find that even the shortest bag, the 40" h suit bag, is too long to hang correctly on my upper rods. My closet rod design is the standard height. I am using TCS walnut hangers. The 40" h bags that I use for my husband's suits and sport coats are actually a bit longer than they need to be, but the 40" h suit bags completely overwhelm ladies suits. Ladies would like to protect their suits and delicate clothes without using an oversized bag.
I would suggest that you keep the three sizes that you currently offer, but please add a shorter zippered bag that is about 34" to 35" long. I think that would be a great product for TCS to offer that I have not found to be available anywhere else! Thank you.

Can a wool coat be put in bag without damage?? since the bag is plastic?--and does not "breathe"?

Wool can be stored inside of the Peva Garment Bags. Since there is a slit at the very top of the bag to allow the hanger to pass through, the product is not considered to be airtight.
