Organization is powerfulI must confess i didn't think these would help but what a difference these made in my closet. i put about 6 to 8 sweaters/sweater vest in each container. Now I'm obsessed with getting them in all my closets at home.
Ps i tried the ones initially at wal mart, cheapest isnt always better. Instead of 5 from rhe container store, i used 8 and those are not flat nor clear enough.

Not great for Sweater StorageI bought these boxes to store sweaters, but they aren't the best for that. They're good for regular storage boxes. The lid doesn't lock tightly nor is it air-tight. They look nice though.

i bought the deep sweater box to put in all of my old pictures, and i have thousands of them. the box is great, the only thing is i did not realize how heavy it would become once it was full of pictures.
then i bought the same box but in half the size, and this worked out much better for my needs. i am able to see through it AND it is much lighter to lift.
do not get me wrong, the deep sweater box is excellent when it does not weigh too much, but i was better off with the half size container.

These are great containers for LOTS of items!Think outside the box for ideas for how to use these boxes!! They're not only useful for clothing. I packed our Lego Holiday train set in them for safe keeping. And also, recently I used them to store books in them for an event I was doing. They are great quality, sturdy and reliable!!

Awesome storage for sheets too!I have a ton of sheets for a hospital bed, and ordered two of the deep sweater boxes to keep them in since closet space is beyond limited, so a lot stores on shelves. These bins hold almost a dozen twin size XL sheet sets when folded to fit. Amazed at the amount they hold! Only bought two but will be buying more soon.

NOT great For wool sweatersThese are really nice boxes, just not really made for wool sweaters. They don’t close tightly, there is a lot of space between the lid and the container that will certainly let moths and other critters in.
Now I’m kind of stuck with 4 of these.

Great boxesI ordered the 12 pack of large sweater boxes. They are light weight, well made, roomy and since they are clear it is easy to tell what is in them. I am still organizing and still plan to order 12 of the next size down. I cannot wait to have my new storage wall done.

Great LEGO Polybags storageI have been buying the container store bins for the better part of this decade and this box is the best one I have come across for LEGO polybags storage. It fits most bags and I get 2 across and about 20-30 deep.

Container Store sweater boxesI have many different type and size boxes of different brand. By far, container store sweater boxes are the best. It's clear, light weight and it's stackable. Perfect size for sweater. The deep boxes, l stored bulky sweater. The medium size for winter sweater. I also used these boxes for stationery, light bulbs, batteries etc. they stack nicely in a closet and it's clear, I can see what's inside. Love them.

Seriously?I get that these are great for storing things in general, but when you advertise something as a SWEATER box, how about you make sure it's good at storing sweaters? Crazy idea, I know. I wanted to love them so I could get rid of an extra dresser full of sweaters, but the shape is such that you have to fold them in a way that is going to create a million wrinkles in anything with a fine knit (especially the ones on the bottom). And while this seems like a great way to store clothes out of season, I can see myself getting really annoyed when I have to pull out an entire stack of sweaters to reach the one on the bottom and the rest inevitably come partially unfolded. Advertise these as multi-purpose storage boxes and you have a winner, but please stop pretending they're good for sweaters!

Great product!We have had a problem with moths and the sweaters I've had to toss.. how sad not to mention expensive.. All woolen items now go in these boxes with moth deterrent. They are clear so it's easy to see what's in them , small so easy to transport to another closet off season.. Over the years, I've purchased a lot and now have 12 or more in various sizes. I love them!

Stackable way to keep stuff dust freeI recently have developed asthma as another effect from my extreme allergy to dust mites.
I now have over 20 of the sweater boxes, and have used them in my closet-to store clothing, in the basement for summer clothing,for yarn storage, and for photos/scrapbook items.
I'm sure I will order more! I love that I can easily clean them, and move them to clean the surface where they are stored.
It's "clear" that you'll be able to see what each box contains.

Best storage containersThese are super; I had purchased some before & needed a new one. Great for woolens as you can put in moth protection, & the box is then sealed.
Does the lid lock on all four sides and is this sweater box airtight?

what are the actual dimensions of the BOTTOM of the container? I am assuming less than 13'' and 17'' if these will fit on a 12'' or 16''closet shelf?

Top to bottom: 13 1/8 inches including the lid. (12 3/4 without the lid.)
Base: 12 3/4 x 10 3/4.

Do these boxes nest when stacked empty?
Do boxes of the same size (tall with tall, regular with regular) nest when they are empty, or must they be stored one on top of the other?

Sorta. The larger bottoms will stack inside each other snugly and the short boxes will stack snugly. But a large base won't nest snugly in a small one. Their bottom perimeter dimensions aren't the same. The short box stack WILL nest in the tall stack. Lids are the same size, stack together closely and then fit on the top of nested boxes.

Safe to store cashmere/wool in?
I know storing cashmere and wool inside plastic where they can't breathe is bad for them. Are these safe to store cashmere and wool in? They don't look like they get any air circulation? I want to protect against moths and more specifically carpet beetles.
