Useful!I'm using these to organise lots of bits and pieces so can't comment on their suitability for children's shoes but they work well for some of my other things so I'm finding them useful.

We have 9 of these. My son's size 8 low top converse fit heel to toe perfectly fine. His Freshly Picked size 9 sneakers also fit heel to toe. If you don't want the shoes heel to toe, then I would say a size 7 of normal width sneakers. If the shoes are wide or hightop then they will not fit. Also, to be clear we used these for baby and toddler shoes, not big kid shoes. My older son's shoes outgrew these at 3.5/4yo.
