Very Strong HangerI actually use this to hold a sewing organizer I made that holds embroidery supplies that are heavy. In the past I used a regular hanger which broke, but this one is strong and I'm very happy with the product!

can't find rod that these will fit onThe curve at the top only fits a 1" rod. My heavy duty rod is slightly larger, so these don't fit. Resorted to using galvanized pipe.
Catalog does not indicate which rods this hanger will fit on.
Loved the previous hangers order with this exact same part number. but now I am not happy with the new design.

Chrome Metal Blanket & Comforter HangerI use these to hold wet table cloths as they come out of the wash. The strength is up to the task. The open end makes it simple to put the table cloth. The cloth dries on the hanger, and is then stored hanging until needed again. What would make it more ideal would be to increase the balanced length of the bar by 2-4 inches. Sometimes the current length is just a bit short...

Awesome SolutionI started with an order of 5 of these hangers to organize my throw blankets I like to change out on my family room sofas. This is such a good solution I'm going to order more to hang those afghans and quilts I have stashed in all kinds of places in my house.

Nice and sturdySurprisingly to me, these hangars are not significantly longer than regular pants hangers, so my tablecloths still must be folded narrowly. However, they are a good bit thicker and stronger than pants hangers, so they bear the weight of blankets and felted table protectors. I'm satisfied.

Great for Hanging QuiltsAs a quilter, I find these perfect for hanging quilts and fabric. They are heavy duty, non-slip, and the price is reasonable. I bought several and intend to buy several more.

Great hangers; volume discount pleaseI use these hangers for hanging extremely heavy costumes. They are the superman, the terminator, the hercules of hangers. Offering a volume discount would make them even more awesome - and affordable. I just can't afford to purchase any more of them. I've already purchased 50. Come on Container Store, make my holiday!

Great for Quilters.I am a quilter, and have found these the best for storing my quilts. They are wider and stronger than an ordinary hanger and the opening on the side allows you to just slide your heavy quilt on to the hanger.

Hanger Heartache's No MoreLove these hangers we usually used 2 or 3 of the wire hangers to hang the blankets and comforters as we all know one would bend and the blanket would eventually touch the floor. I am so glad the Container Store has solve this problem. I am recommending this product to any and everyone I meet.
Thank YOU Thank YOU!

Extra uses for Blanet hangerI love these blanket hangers, but I don't use them for blankets. I hang all my tableclothes on them. I have a linen closet without shelves in the bottom half. I installed a clothes bar and I hang all my tableclothes on it. It is by far the easiest way I have found to organize and keep tableclothes with few wrinkles.

OKGood & heavy/sturdy, but the rubber tip comes off the hook. Agree with Judie, expect better in a $5 hangar

not as good as beforeThese blanket hangers are great for storage, but I ordered them a couple of years ago and their quality seemed better then. This time, when I lifted them out of the box, some of the rubber tips on the hanging hooks fell off. I had to glue them all back on. Shouldn't have to do that with a $5 hanger. The older ones never lost their tips.

Most excellent product!I don't know how I lived before these blanket hangers!
Wait - I do know - I had piles of blankets, drapes and mattress pads, etc... spilling off of shelves every time I wanted to get to something. Lots of time spent refolding/wrestling stuff back into place, or getting to shelves that were too high.
These hangers have made storing bulky linens a breeze - I keep them all on a rolling rack (see CS item 10017543) and pull the whole thing out when I need something.
These hangers are so strong, they could hold an elephant. (maybe) They have held up to everything that I have hung on them, even very heavy drapes.
Many thanks, Container Store, for revolutionizing one part of my life !
Has anyone tried these blanket hangers for hanging shawls? The shawls aren't heavy but can measure 20" by 80". Scarf hangers w/loops will wrinkle these badly. Some shawls are heavily embroidered, beaded, or hand painted so most don't take well to ironing (& neither do I ;-). Are there other products someone can recommend? (Plus I have no idea how to store triangular shawls.) I wear many of these year round (scorching car/freezing rooms & vice-versa.) All advice is welcomed! Many thanks.....

The hangers prevent some creases that can occur when you place shawls and other linens in storage bags or wire hangers. These hangers can hold large shawls, if folded properly. Our Joy Mangano Huggable Hangers can sustain a good amount of weight and can also help prevent slipping and creasing

How long is the straight part that the blanket rests on?
Just wondering how narrowly I would need to fold things to hang them on this hanger. Thanks!
Asked by: DLorand
The straight part that the blanket rests on is ~16"
