Beautiful HangersThe color is great and they are sturdy. Now they aren't glossed, which can be nice if you don't want your clothes slipping off; but they are smooth enough that they feel smooth to the touch.

Doesn't repel mothsThese hangers appear to be well made and have a fresh fragrance. But on two separate occasions I found a live moth on an article of clothing hanging from one of my brand new cedar hangers. I paid the additional price for cedar expressly to repel moths and was surprised and disappointed by this discovery. If they don't keep moths off my clothes, why buy them?

Good, but...I ordered two sets of these hangers. The quality is generally good, and the cedar smell is of course pleasant for humans and allegedly repulsive to pests. One of the hangers had a major splinter, which I was able to repair with glue. But I would prefer not to repair newly purchased items.
Are these hangers with any type of chemical or varnish? If so, what kind?
