Excellent Hangers with Some GripI don't know why The Container Store doesn't mention that, while these are not "grippy" hangers per se, they actually do have noticeable friction to them so that windbreakers and slick fabrics do stay gripped in place. I replaced all my coat closet hangers with these. Nothing slips off to the floor now.

Love!I love these hangers! They’re beautiful, made well and sturdy! They make my small but fully stuffed closet look elegant and streamlined. Most of my clothes are petite, but I bought the regular white wooden hangers and they fit. I use the blouse hangers for shirts, coats, dresses, and jackets.

No More Wire Hangers!One of the signs of becoming a full-fledged adult is replacing all those terrible wire or plastic clothes hangers with real, substantial wooden ones. They help my clothes maintain better shape, and I am able to more quickly find a particular piece since the extra thickness of the hangers makes it easier to see things.

High quality for a great priceHigh quality hangers that look and feel smooth and solid. No rough edges or ends that might damage fabric. I am using these for a retail space and they fit in well - they look professional, not cheap, and the use of all white hangers creates a nice, consistent aesthetic. I purchased 36 of these online to receive a discounted price, and it was a great deal.
The hangers I received did not have spiky plastic ridges on the ends, like a previous reviewer has stated. They were smooth, but not too smooth that the clothing slips off. All in all, perfect.

Ridges too spikyI didn't realize there were ridges of plastic spikes on these to keep clothes from slipping. I'd prefer just the groove for straps and no plastic so I'm returning them.

Great Buy!I love these white wooden hangers....I bought all of the different hangers in white, pant hangers, skirt hangers & shirt hangers with the non slip on the trim of the shoulders. These are well made & look great in my closet. My closet is as neat as a pin now! I highly recommend these. Great value & quality. I'm picky!!

lovely hangers do make a closet tidy and completeThese hangers extend to the shoulder, making shirts hang properly. It was a nice surprise. A quality product. I am buying more. They don't take up much room and the notch and anti slip surface really do work and keep dresses etc, in place and looking good. It's something how a quality hanger can make a difference.

Do the basic white wooden hangers fit mens shirts well or are the oversized ones better for mens product?

These are nice long hangers that most Men's shirts would work with. I think it depends on the Size of the Men's shirts, My husband wears 2x shirts and I would probably go with the men's hangers to make sure I got the extra width of the hanger so his shirts would hang all the way across :-)

On the hangers with the "spikes" - are they hard plastic spikes or rubber spikes?
