Rated 5 out of 5 by CocoS from Good solution This is a good solution to keep pests away from clothes, closets and keep garments and the closet fresh; I could obviously smell the cedar more than the lavender, but I think that is to be expected, and, when I got them there was a nice strong smell. I bought others elsewhere before getting them, hung a few in the closet, and I couldn't even smell them (and they were not working), so it was great to get my order from Container Store, and to find that this product had a scent (and that it would work) was great. The price was good, too.

Are these treated with essential oil?

We love the scent of lavender but want to avoid exposing our cat to any lavender oil. Are these treated with essential oil to get the lavender scent, and is there any danger of that oil being transferred to our hands/clothes by the hang-up?

All cedar has essential oils that give it its distinctive scent and that can be transferred on the skin. If concern for your cat's well-being and safety is a concern, we recommend our all-natural, pet- and kid-friendly Moth-Away or Stay Away Repellents shown below.
