Left deep scratches in my door framePurchased this online and did curbside pickup. Just placed it on my door yesterday with 24 pairs of size 8 sandals/flats/shoes and within the first 3 times of opening and closing the door, it left deep indents in my door frame. Then the door wouldn’t even close. So I decided to remove about 12 pairs of shoes, however it made no difference and still was scratching the door frame. I’m very unhappy with this. I don’t even know if I can return it since I threw the packaging away and today is trash day.

Good for moneyPros: this shoe organizer is the best bang for your buck. It really does hold a ton of shoes! I could fit multiple pairs of sandals in one cubby, and it did hold my lower heels which is rare. I would recommend this to a friend.
Cons: I am not exaggerating when I say that this took 4 weeks to get to me. I also received no communication from the container store, not even a tracking #. Side note: I’m still missing an item from this order and it’s been 5 weeks. Another bummer about this item is it will not work as well if you have bigger feet. I am a women’s 9 and If my shoes were any bigger they wouldn’t fit. This would most likely not work for the typical men’s shoe.

Great! with one big caveat fitting your doorBought this to organize kids shoes, socks, hats, odds and ends. Tons of storage and it's the perfect size to fit 2 toddler pairs in some cases. CAVEAT for what people mean whether it fits your door so it can close (separate from door width), the hooks have a tension clip that keeps the hooks in place, so the shoe storage has to hang on the side of the door that sits into the frame. Regardless of your door thickness, the hooks will stick out away from the door on the other side, which needs to be the side that does not touch the door frame when closed. Hope that helps... I ran into this problem with a different over the door storage option :/

DisappointedUnfortunately, this shoe organizer did not work out. After loading my daughter’s shoes, the door wouldn’t close. The shoes were too heavy and the clips over the door couldn’t handle the weight. So disappointed.

Love this, but wish I could close my doorI did read reviews before purchasing, but was hoping it would be different for me and I could close the door. Unfortunately, the hooks are too big. I put it on a door that I usually have open. It would be nice to be able to close the door, but I’m going to keep it. It would be 5 stars if the door could close.

Doesn't fitI loved this over the door shoe rack, it is made well and holds a size 10 pair of shoes perfectly. The only issue is that the hooks that go over the door are way to thick. The door wouldn't close. I returned it, and got the shoe rack with the same material to hang in my closet. That one works great!

Works But Hooks Show On Door INSIDE RoomThis item works great as a shoe organizer but the hooks show on the other side of the door, which is typically going to be facing INSIDE your room.
We hung the shoe organizer on our door going into the basement. Now the hooks show on the side of the door facing our kitchen. It looks stupid (see attached picture).

Inferior Quality Material and ConstructionThe first organizer I purchased from the store never made it up to the closet door. The material the metal grommets are attached to is not reinforced and the material pulled away from the grommets while I was inserting the hook. I exchanged the organizer that afternoon and checked out the new one before leaving. All appeared OK. It is now 5 days later and the grommets are again tearing out of the material. My shoes are not particularly heavy- size 7.5, and the organizer SHOULD be capable of being filled to capacity. Unfortunately, poor construction prevails.

I don't use it for shoes :)I bought one of these for stashing part of my yarn collection. I can put four skeins into each pocket. I sort the yarn by color family, and can quickly find something I'm looking for. It doesn't hold ALL of my yarn - haha - but it's great for the lace or fingerling weight yarns.

Great addition to my closet organizationI have a lot of shoes and have tried several different methods of storage. This one is the best by far! It has lots of pockets, so plenty of room for all my shoes. It hangs over the door, so my shoes don't take up floor space in my closet. It keeps pairs together, which allows me to easily grab my shoes when I need them. I also like that in one glance I can see all of my shoes and pick out which ones I want to wear. It's a nice cloth material, instead of cheap looking plastic-type material that a lot of other shoe storage containers seem to be made from.

Worst Shoe RackThis shoe rack is not sturdy and did not last. I bought it last year to hold my shoes on the back of my closet door. The silver/metal rods continuously popped out of the plastic holders and all my shoes would fall on the floor. The rods did not stay in and the plastic bulged and did not interlock appropriately. this is the second time I have purchased this shoe rack and had this happen both times. It was a complete waste of money.

Shoe storage is greatI do like the shoe storage, it does hold pairs of my dress shoes and sneakers easily. I thought it would maybe only hold one sneaker per slot, but I actually can put a pair of sneakers in a slot by itself. The only negative I have is that the hangers are scratching my door jamb. And I can see the indentations from the hangers. Other than that, I do like how many pairs of shoes it can hold.

Organization for the shoe loversI have too many shoes and not enough space to store them. This is perfect. It keeps the dust off while allowing me to see through the holder to what shoes are there.Keep in mind the depth needed to allow it to hang over the door. It is wide enough for a pair of shoes to fit in.

Handy OrganizerI re-purposed this shoe organizer to use in our coat closet to organize all those mittens, gloves, scarves, and hats that were in multiple bags and on shelves. With all its pockets, this item holds so much more than the usual over-the-door shoe organizer. You slip the items in through the sides, so nothing will fall out and you can see the items clearly. Everything is now together and easy to find. Best $20+ I've spent in a long time. I live in a Queen Anne home with very thick doors and this organizer worked with my doors.

A Terrific PurchaseThe best features of this product are that I can SEE all my shoes at a glance, the storage is compact and out of the way, and the shoes will stay relatively dust free. I freed up floor space and shelves that were loaded with shoe boxes. I wear size 11 shoes and 95% of the shoe fits in the slot. It doesn't present a problem. The brackets that fit over the door (holding the organizer) do not allow me to close the door easily. I needed to sand down a couple of spots in the door frame to make that work, but not all doors will have this problem. Definitely worth it.

Awesome Shoe OrganizerThis is a great shoe organizer! I was able to fit my flats together in one pocket and my heels separately with no problem.
My husband is a size 10 and his shoes just barely fit.
Overall, great and sturdy product! Fits perfect on my closet door. So glad I bought it!

My door did not shut, so I returned it. To be clear, the hooks fit over the door. They were just too thick to fit in the doorframe.

Do you have a hanger for this product that fits a 1-3/8" thick door securely?
The extra 1/2" does not allow our doors to close properly.

Are the shoes zipped into their compartments, or is there a side to each compartment that stays open at all times?
I am curious as to if the shoes would be enclosed all the way around. I cannot tell from the pictures if the plastic zips on each side of the organizer.

Are there extenders for the hooks for very tall doors.
My doors are 8 ft. tall. I am afraid I will be unable to reach the uppermost pockets. Is there any way to extend from the hooks down to the grommets to have the organizer hang lower.? I was even thinking of long zip ties as extenders or some strong string.
