2-Shelf Shoe Stacker is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 92.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from For shoes and more! This would also wok on a closet shelf to acomodate dishes, linens, candles, etc. Once together it is sturdy and attractive. A little hard to screw into the heavy particle board. If you have power tools it would help but it is not a requirement. Great price for doubling your space. We are using for shoes, but I keep thinking of all kinds of places to put this to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Quality Control - Junk! This is one of the worst manufactured and quality controlled pieces of furniture I've ever seen. Several of the drilled ones are insufficiently deep or at weird angles. Don't waste your money on this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from shelves are not as advertised I didn't have high expectations as they are very inexpensive. The shelves are low quality, the holes aren't distinct, and the shelve pieces are a bit shifted. The biggest issue is that they aren't as advertised online or shown in store. The bottom and second shelf are so short you can barely fit a short sneaker. Therefore, you can only fit 3-4 tall shoes (heels and boots) on the top shelf and the rest must be very very short. If you buy 2 shelves and place them on top of each other, you have the same issue. This shelf is not ideal for storage and for holding a variety of shoes. I would not recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst shoe rack holes aren't sufficiently pre-drilled so impossible to assemble without a power drill. it is literally trash. so bad that I lost my receipt and just threw it away. myself and my dad couldn't put it together.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for the role it is made The shoe rack is perfect for that purpose. Good quality that will last a long time. Things to consider: A. It is not a weight bearing piece. You won't be able to stack anything but shoes or light shoe boxes on it. B. It stacks well on top of like shelving pieces, but anything higher than 2 units would need to be secured to a wall. C. The perfect shoe size for more than 3 pairs per shelf is men's 8 or women's 10

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good purchase but... I really like the 2-shelf shoe stacker, good quality, easy to assemble and perfect for men shoes which are flat. However, for women shoes it is different because high heels only fit on the top shelf which means I cannot stack another 2-shelf shoe stacker on top of the previous one. The separation between shelves should be a little bit bigger so high heels could fit in any shelf. Other than that, I would recommend the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Shoe Rack This is exactly what I was looking for. I like that I have the option to stack this if I want to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for storage -- Could be classier I purchased these for storage of 14x14 project cases, and they work extremely well. I can get 2 full size and 2 thinner cases on each shelf. They were also easy to put together. My only criticism is that the plastic buttons to cover the screws are white, and on the natural shelves, it makes them look like they are held together with thumbtacks. Since I have these out in the open and not buried in a closet, they do look a bit tacky.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed All that came in the box was 4 planks of wood. No assembly instructions or hardware. I'm very disappointed. I would just purchase the necessary hardware if I knew what I needed...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this shelf I love this shelf, I'm not using this for shoes, I am using it for small bins & this is placed on my craft table which is an old dining room table. It works great & is the perfect size. I wish I would have bought another one when I had the chance at the store.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Meets My Needs The look of this shoe shelf is just what I was looking for and is perfect for my little apartment. Quality wise, it's not the best. You basically get what you pay for. I got the white one and the ends peeled a little bit, but it's no big deal. Ensembling this shoe shelf was easy. There are little covers to cover the nails so that they're not showing. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love these i use these for everything.... on my kitchen counters to store plates cereal parts to my food processor then in the linen closet to organize my meds then i turned one upside down and have a flat screen on top and my vhs and dvd player under in that 5 inch space and still have 2 tall ones in my closet for shoes.... right in front of me with my lap top is one i organize my bills on... but my problem is i can't find different sizes.... i like the white but need shorter in length ones...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont waste your money! I was looking for a low--cost option for shoe storage and have had good results from the Container Store in the past. Not with this product. The fiberboard disintegrated as I tried to assemble mostly because the pre-drilled holes were misplaced, not deep enough and at an angle so the screw protruded through the surface causing it to crack apart. I threw the product away. Very disappointing and completely out of character for this vendor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Simple and Horrible I'm sure with the right materials this would be a nice little shoe shelf but I only received part of the assembly instructions, missing parts, and subpar shelves that wouldn't hold the screws provided. Beware purchasing and receiving a kit with missing parts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good Buy I ordered two of these shelves. They sure helped me get my closet organized - actually freed up about 8 feet of shelf space for me. Just note, that 'some assembly is required' - And make sure you have the painted sides to the outside. I got one put together and realized that I have one wrong side out but not a big deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Sturdy Shelf, used for plates and additional shelving in storage room. A bit hard to put together, a lot of upper body strength needed
Date published: 2015-05-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serves it's purpose Great for flats or shoes with a bit of a heel. Higher heals have to go on the top shelf, but it works fine for me.
Date published: 2015-05-12
Rated 2 out of 5 by from not the best quality, but it does the job. Assembly was difficult because it was hard getting the screws to go all the way into the holes. I cannot say that this was the best quality. It seems cheaply made. Particle board. However, if you're just using it for shoes in a closet, it does the job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst purchase ever I usually like everything I get from the container store but this time was a real bummer. I bought 4 sets for storage shelves and was disappointed in the paint job and the drilling of the holes. Since it was going where nobody could see them, I kept them. Don't know what went wrong but all had the same problems

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Always a good standard. I have used these type of shoe storage stackers for years, and I am so happy they are still available. Needed a few more, and they are great for not using up a lot of space in your closet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from heels dont fit I was planning to stack these, but heels don't fit if you do. Would be perfect if there was an inch more in between the shelves. disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stacked against you One of the worst examples of cheap manufacturing I've ever seen, but I guess at $13 on sale I should have seen it coming a mile away. The pre-drilled screw holes didn't line up, the particle board is of poor quality, and even if I did re-drill it on my own, the new holes would be too close together and weakened enough to make the unit reliable. Definitely not a quality item by any stretch of the imagination. Red flag this one to be taken off the inventory list!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a Shoe Rack So, it's a shoe rack, and it works as a shoe rack should. It holds shoes. It's sturdy, but I don't see it taking a lot of strain, so I think they'll hold up for at least a few years. Holds about 3 pairs of men's shoes per shelf. I bought 3 shelves, so I get about 7 rows (including the floor), so it holds about 21 pairs of shoes. If you set them out end to end, instead of stacking, you could hold 27 pairs of shoes, because you gain 2 floor "shelves" by doing so, but stacking them makes them more compact, so I'd go with that. And if you have more than 21 pairs of shoes, either you need a bigger closet, or you should buy more of these. All in all, a good product for holding shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shoes Off the Floor The 2-shelf Shoe Stacker brought order to my shoes and closet! Easy assembly and fits nicely against wall. Almost disappears into the room so shoes are prominent but shelving is not obvious. Love it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heels don't fit My 3 inch heels didn't fit in the shelf! This would only be good for flats and sneakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shoe Keeper I finally found a shoe organizer that keeps my shoes organized and I don't have to worry about them falling all over the place if I bump into it. My old one was taller and less sturdy. The shoes sat on uneven rods so if you bumped it, you could trigger an avalanche of shoes. This one with its flat surface dividers keeps your shoes safe and sound and in view. I love it and it fits perfectly in my walk-in closet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mission accomplished! Great purchase! Inexpensive and served the purpose. I put it in my closet. I don't think I put it next to my door or somewhere else because it is not the best quality. First level (botton) are my flats and the second and in the top are the high heels. I am not an expert to assemble furniture. This took me a while but I did it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 1/2 and 1/2 I ordered 2 of these. One arrived in perfect condition but was missing pieces of hardware. The second had a crack on the top shelf, decided not to return it to avoid the hassle. Not sure if I would buy it again.

Community Q&A

How many shelves can be safely stacked on top of one another?

I would like to cover the height of the wall which at 95 inches would be 8 stackers. I would like to use for women's shoes. Thanks.
Asked by: Babby
If you secure them to the wall with 2.5” L brackets, you could definitely put them all the way up a 95’ wall. As you assemble it, add two L brackets to top of the back edge of the top shelf on each unit. I’d do it just inside where the side piece connects to the top shelf. Then have a friend hold it up against the wall and drill the wall screws in. You might consider using anchors with your wall screws to make sure it’s completely secure to the drywall. Good luck!

Can this be used without the middle shelf (i.e. just the sides and top piece)?

What is the weight limit limit for these shelves? How high is the lower shelf?

I'm looking for some shelves to organize my bead bins, which can get rather heavy. What is the limit for each of these two shelves in this unit? How high is the first shelf off the floor?
Asked by: thriftysoul
I have this shelf and I don't recommend anything over 60lb. The first self is 10 inches high. Bottom shelf is 5 inches high.
