Was great for the first 6 monthsI used this on lots of sweaters, pants, and coats for about 6 months. Just recently it stopped working, even with new batteries. It just won't spin anymore. I'll be investing in a better fabric shaver as this was disappointing.

Works wellThis shaver is great at removing pilling but be careful to skim lightly over your sweaters with it because it does grab yarn easily and can quickly damage your garment.

Does just an okay jobI tried the Evercare on my 100% acrylic sweater and it removed about 50-60%% of the fuzz balls. The Evercare occasionally would get tangled on a fuzz ball and I’d have to take it apart and remove it from the screen and sometimes the blades. I then tried it on my 100% cotton fleece sweat jacket and it picked up maybe 10% of the fuzz balls. The performance of the Evercare may depend on the fabric content. I would look for another brand of fabric shaver to use. You'd spend too much time with this one.

IneffectiveThis device simply doesn't work. You'll be left with a sweater with 95% of the pills you had on your sweater before you spent 30 minutes running the head of this device over it.

Throw it awayThis product was virtually useless to me. I spent more than an hour using this shaver on my favorite red cardigan. All of the areas I repeatedly shaved look only marginally better, and many of the pills on the sweater were too large to go through the holes of the shaver head for the blades to cut them.

Fuzz RemoverI carry my big bag on my shoulder a lot and it rubs on my cashmere sweaters making these little fuzz balls on the sides that are difficult to remove by hand. This gadget works great. It does "shave" the fabric a bit, but also removes the fuzzy balls.

Decent JobI bought this shaver for everyday clothes that have pilled with regular use and maintenance. I've used it for pieces made of soft cotton and it has trouble shaving these pieces because of how tiny the fuzz balls tend to be on softer, thinner fabrics. It didn't do as good of a job as I hoped, I hoped it work just as well for these types of fabrics. However, it did remove some of the pilling. I'm also worried that if I press down on the fabric too hard that I'll make a hole, so maybe I should try pressing just a little more firm. It should work better for thick sweaters with big fuzz balls. Also, a flat surface is best!
I tried the sweater stone before this product, and I prefer this shaver b/c the sweater stone leaves sandy debris and slightly damages the fabric (since you have to firmly sweep the fabric with the stone so that the fuzz balls get caught in the porous stone and yanked off the fabric).

Amazing results!We used it to refresh a bunch of old sweaters and socks and the results were amazing! Be sure to go slow over a smooth surface so the fabric doesn't get caught in the shaver.

Super Handy Device!I absolutely HATE when my clothes start to pill, but this little device is perfect for taking care of that! It gently shaves off fuzz without snagging the fabric. It works best on bigger bumps though (knit sweaters, hoodies, sweat pants) - if a thin cotton shirt is just slightly pilled all over, this will only do so much. Easy to store and easy to clean out- I love it!

Nifty little product!!!I couldn't be happier with this gadget. It's very easy to use, battery operated, and does exactly what it's supposed to. I use it for sweaters when they get those lint balls, yoga pants between the legs when you get fabric fuzzies, and for a stray string here and there to avoid pulling fabric apart. I love, love, love this thing and all the products at the store. Everyone constantly asks me where to get one.

Don't Walk; RUN to get This Fabric ShaverThis is going to cost you some money because once you use it and find out how great it is - yes a product that really does what it is supposed to do - you are going to buy one for every mom, sister, and girlfriend in your circle. This inexpensive device has more than paid for itself by bringing new life back to two of my favorite shirts which were bound for the discard bin. Get this shaver. It will save your life! Okay; not really. But it will save your clothes.

Pretty GoodI used this on my coat. I think it did a pretty good job though I still feel that I don't want to wear the coat anymore. But I definitely saw lint in the waste bin, so I suppose the coat looks better.

Can't live without it!This little guy is awesome and durable. Shaving the pills off my clothes has kept them looking newer, and feeling more comfortable. I've even used it on my bedding! You do have to be careful to use it on a flat surface though because I have nicked a hole in a sweater. I recommend an ironing board.

Worth the Price to Save a ShirtI have a few sweaters that have accidentally got thrown in the dryer and this product has definitely helped to shave the fuzzy balls off and give these shirts a newer, higher quality look when I thought they were near the end of their life. Just like a dryer, there's a contraption that collects the lint that needs to be empied after a solid session of fuzz ball collection, otherwise it won't do it's job best. I got scared at first thinking that the motor died shortly after I started using it, but I realized that there was some fabric caught in the blades...it was real simple to pop the cover off and get it out...worked just fine after that. A warning however; it can be daunting to use a smaller product like this to cover an entire piece of clothing that might need it...also sometimes it might seem like it'll work better if you if you stretch the fabric a little but DON'T...you might cut a hole in the fabric! Also it's a bit noisy...I thought I could use this as I was sitting at my desk at work but it's awkwardly distracting.

quick and usefulThis is a great product that will make sweaters look like new. Its easy to use as well. The only holdback I have on it, was I read in an article that a sweater stone was better to use, I only bought this because I wasn't sure how the sweater stone worked. All in all it is a great purchase and good value.
How well would this work on North Face sweaters? In other words polyester...

I used on multiple sweater types incl cashmere merino and blends. And different thicknesses of yarn. Thus i would highly recommend for ur North Face. A sweater is a sweater, they r knit yarns. This device is a depiller for knit yarns aka sweaters. Buy it!!!!
