Bought a few for the house with 3 boys and one for a family member. Worked well out of the box even with different soap. Love them!

I can't believe I lived without this amazing dispenser until now! When handling raw meats, messy hand mixing or just during a fast paced food procedure, I can be sure to wash my hands as often as I need to, without using my hands. The soap is mild. There's a setting to turn the unit off to save battery life overnight or when I won't be in the kitchen for a time. It looks so sleek and modern. Who created this? I want to thank them!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TwinkleTwinkle Excellent Buy- Use for Liquid Dish Detergent too!
I love this gadget. Aside from using one for hand soap, I also use another one for my liquid dish detergent. It's easy for cleaning my dishes --- no more pumping or holding a bottle with my wet hands/ gloves. Wish simple human made an auto dispenser that was water proof for the shower.

This is an awesome product! We use it as we are doing dishes. It is so easy to run the dish or sponge next to the sensor, get soap, and keep washing! This is the second hands-free soap pump we have owned and this one is far superior to our old one. I would recommend this product!

I have been wanting to get an auto pump for our men's restroom. This is perfectly inexpensive, works easily, and now hands free.

Easy, Clean, Efficient and Fun! Life is easy! A soap dispenser that makes cleaning your hands fun. I move my hand to get a set amount of soap ( I determine the amount- hence the efficiency) how easier could it get. Raw meat on the hands? Don't worry just move your hand under dispenser to receive soap. No more worries about touching the yucky pump. We have lots of dogs and everyone needs to wash hands frequently so this is great for everyone to get a quick amount of soap and everyone washing without the fuss. Thank you for such a great product.

I purchased the sensor soap pump last week, thinking it was a good idea, I liked the design and thought it would eliminate the possibility of bacterial contamination. It certainly does that and overall I'm happy with the purchase. The one thing that bothered me was that it went through the batteries in one week! I'm wondering if maybe the batteries weren't at full power, so I will keep my enthusiasm in check and see how it fares with fresh batteries. If the batteries last 6 months, as one reviewer said, I will give this gizmo 5+ starts. If however, it chews through batteries, I'll go back to my old fashioned pump soap dispenser and put this in the powder room where it will get extremely light use.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by AWOGIRL No more messy soap dispensers!
I use these dispensers in my kitchen and bath. I feel good knowing that I am not leaving germs on the soap dispenser for the next user. Once you adjust the amount to be dispensed to your liking, you are good to go. I have had the one in the kitchen about six months and I just changed the batteries last week. Not bad for a unit that gets really heavy use. No more yucky stuff to clean off the dispenser after a dirty job!

Rated 2 out of 5Â by ababab uses too much soap
Thought it would be useful in the kitchen for my toddler who can't pump soap and when washing raw meat off my hands, and it was. But it causes us to use insane amounts of soap. I turned the dial so that it releases as little as possible, but it still releases too much at a time, and now we are going through much more soap than with a normal pump. I really like the idea of the autopump though and so I'm a little conflicted about returning it. NOTE: I am using a different soap other than the simple human one (which is full of things I will not put on my skin!). My soap doesn't seem thin though.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by pirategal Worked great. . . for a while
I am a fan of Simple Human and love every product of theirs that we have. . . except this one. It worked great for about 6 months and then we had constant problems with it. It would clog up and we were able to flush it with warm water, but within a week or so, it was clogged again. It used more batteries than I expected as well. So we are back to the old-fashioned hand pump soap for now. Great idea, just didn't last as long as I had hoped.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by 4rabbits can't stop washing my hands
I did read some negative reviews of this product. That it gets stuck and that it dispensed all the soap overnight due to a malfunction. But since the Container Store saleswoman told me I could return it if it malfunctioned I bought it anyway.
So far we all love it. The soap it came with smells great. Lavender.
There have been no problems with this product. I intend to get the larger size for our new kitchen.

I love this soap dispenser, though I've only had it about a week. So far so good. The dispensed soap amount is adjustable so you don't get too much or too little. There's no mess, the sensor works very accurately. The lavender soap that came with mine is great too. Plus it looks really nice next to my sink. Great product so far.

Just got this, but it works well and looks good.
You can adjust the amount of soap which is dispensed and turn it on and off in case you have to move it around or clean it.

This is a great idea, especially for the kitchen when you have something on your hands--raw chicken--and you don't want to touch anything before you wash them. Perfect solution!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by hlckm I've only had the Sensor Soap Pump for a week, but love it so far! I had the Lysol (?) one before but got tired of having to purchase their expensive refill cartridges. Although this seemed a little pricey, it'll pay off fairly soon since I can buy regular soap refills instead of those other cartridges.
I love having a hands-free soap dispenser by the sink so when I'm cooking or preparing meat I don't have to worry about getting all that nastiness all over my soap dispenser.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TheContainerStoreIsGreat Simplehuman Sensor Soap Pump - Cute and Capable!
I have two of these pumps and purchased them as a gift this holiday for each of my family members. I love that it is small and cute and at the same time works very well. One in my bathroom means no one is touching the soap pump before washing their hands. The other works really well in the kitchen. When you come in from working outside, when your hands are full or you've just been prepping chicken for dinner you don't need to touch the soap pump before washing your hands. Simplehuman makes great products and I love this one. The refill size soaps are very economical. I highly recommend this item!

Rated 3 out of 5Â by nicdanstan So so
I was so excited to get this home. We have a new baby at home and thought this was just what we needed for her changing table area. Hands free is key. It's just what we needed, BUT it's very sensitive. We've had it in "off" mode since we got it, which defeats the purpose.
My advice would be to make sure you have a space available that will keep it away from any movement. If not, it will go off when you don't want it to.
