PERFECT GIFTI wanted my granddaughter to have a storage method for her large collection of Croc shoes, and let her view the options here at Container Store. She chose this one, apparently because it would hold so many and because it is movable. She said it was easy to assemble, and held almost all all of her Crocs. She is very pleased, so it makes me happy too.

Quality A+, design need to be improvedQuality of the rack is A+; however, the space between the tiers is way too small. Had trouble fitting most of my shoes, flats are fine, but had trouble fitting sneakers and ankle boots. Measurement of the space in between is on the website. Make sure you measure your shoe heights.

Shoes Keep Sliding OffUnfortunately, the shoe rack has not worked for us. Since it came with casters, I figured the rack would be something we could move around to sweep/dust behind and below it. When we move the rack, though, half of the shoes slide right off. I suppose if you have dress shoes with a defined heel, this might work since the heel can hook on the rack to keep it in place. The majority of our shoes are sneakers so they just slide off.

Wanted to love itAfter going through many plastic shoe racks I was on the search for something sturdier. Taking it out of the box I was impressed and hopeful. However, before I even had the chance to put it fully together I noticed one of the side bars was separated from the base. It seems like a fluke because all the other joints seems stable but since returna aren't possible I'll have to find a way to hold it together. I would buy again because I think the overall the construction is good and I was just unfortunate with this particular one.

Good product marred by assembly snafuTook hours of effort to get the top and bottom sections to fit together. The base is understandably wobbly after what I put it through.
Here’s what I had to do:
I wedged openings of top section wider with screwdriver
Flattened metal protrusions to the best of my ability with a wrench
Rubbed all connections with bar soap
Pounded and pounded the top with plastic mallet
Leaned entire body weight on unit to press down
At last one half snapped into the bottom half. This was hours before I was able to get the second half to budge into place.
Understandably the base is now wobbly from all the pounding and screws can no longer hold it tight. The shoe rack serviceable as long as I don't move it or put pressure anywhere.
The only way the top could snap into the bottom was to get the metal protrusions where the two sections join to shear off. I found them in the carpet after it was assembled. I've put other items together with similar fastenings but have never had this problem, nor do I recall metals pieces needing to sheer off for the parts to slide together.
The piece fits well in the closet and holds all my shoes and handbags. If it hadn't been for this nightmarish assembly I would recommend it highly. Surprised no one else has reported this problem.
I assembled it during the coronavirus pandemic so understand the delay in customer service response. When they did reach out and I explained what I'd been through I was offered a replacement unit, which I refused. Though a bit wobbly, the unit is functional. Plus there's the possibility I'd have to go through this again!

Replacing With a Better ProductI bought this item a while back but decided to review it today because I'm replacing it with a shoe cabinet from another vendor. This will only hold 50 pairs of women's shoes if all you own is flats. As others have described, if you have heels they will push into the other ones below. That's why you see the picture has shoes spaced out. I had to remove some of the shelves in order to make this work and of course now it could not hold all my shoes so I've had to put some elsewhere. Not worth it.

Sturdy and easy to assembleExtremely easy to put together and great material. I live in a studio and I needed an extra, dependable shoe rack that will conserve space and not be in the way. The wheels are convenient!! The space for the shoes are little awkward with a mix of boots and heels on them but I'm great with tetris so I made it work hehe

Chrome Metal 10tier rolling shoe rackDoesn't take up much space yet holds plenty of shoes in 1 place.
If you wear a large shoe size or hi top sneakers, you will find you don't get that many shoes on a shelf. In some cases you may have to skip a shelf to accommodate bulkier shoes.
Definitely well made. Should last a long time.

Does what I want it to doFinally, I can vacuum. This saves a ton of space, and I am very happy with it. Very easy to assemble, but one of the diagonal metal plates snapped off due to incomplete welding or poor welding. After assembly, there is still some wobble to the unit. It looks very nice, I would still recommend it if you aren't moving it around. The casters are quite nice but the wobble would be annoying if you needed to move it a lot.

Finally - a shoe rack that can handle my shoes!!I’ve lived in my small apartment since June and have destroyed two other shoe racks. I swear- it wasn’t me and my precious shoes!!! This one, while not the prettiest, is the sturdiest and most durable yet. And it has wheels!! I can wheel my shoes wherever they want to go.

Glad I got thisI had regular shelves to put my shoes onto, so I was really excited to get organized and placed my shoes on proper storage. The rack was very simple to put together. No extra tools needed and I didn't even have to look at any instructions. I put it together in less than 10 minutes. I fit in well over 50 pairs of shoes on there, but that's because I crammed them all in and hung some shoes by their heels. It rolls great, not heavy yet sturdy enough to hold up all my shoes.

Good and sturdyEasy to assemble, good quality, loves that it rolls easy, even on carpet. Cons to this product is the distance between the bars are too close. Each level is too close that you cannot put high heels on all of the rows. when you do the heels rub against the other shoes below. Also, its hard to put the shoes in straight cause of the rows being too close. When putting my shoes onto the brackets I have to turn my shoes sideways to squeeze them in which gets annoying. Another con is this product advertises that it can hold up to 50 pairs of shoes but it doesn't. Each row only fits 4 pairs of shoes not 5 as advertised. Very disappointing, completely false advertisement. My last complaint is the angle of the bars are slanted too much for shoes that are flat and does not have a heel to it, they slide off easily. This is a big issue for my sandals and flip flops.

Smart purchaseThis shoe rack has cleared up the shoe clutter scattered all over on my floor. I purchased this product after reading reviews and it’s true this rack won’t fit any shoes above ankle length. I was aware of this issue before purchase and I am satisfied that the reviews guided my well. All my shoes that fit is now stacked up and it’s looking good!

Very easy to assembleThis is the second shoe rack I have recently purchased. The first one, another brand from another site at a lower price, kept falling apart during assembly. Not the case with this one. Assembly was smooth and painless. It's also light weight. This holds all of my shoes and fits wonderfully in the closet. It's what I was looking for.

Not flimsy & holds lots of shoesPros: sturdy, easy assembly, can wheel out to dust under, easy to see all footwear, small footprint, neutral color. Overall would buy again.
Cons: have to skip bars to fit even women's sz 6.5 sneakers & low-heeled ankle boots - wish it had more customizable options for distance between bar heights.

High Heels Beware - Won't Hold 50 Pairs of ShoesThis is a really great product - HOWEVER, if you own a lot of high heels, you can really only use every other shelf and you must take out the bars in the middle.
Shoes with a heel height of 1 1/2" or less are fine. Also, I couldn't fit more than 4 pairs per shelf. If they'd make it a few inches wider, I could definitely fit 5 pairs per shelf.
I'd also suggest they make it taller and then leave more space between shelving so you really fit 50 pairs.
I do still like the product.

Nicely built, does the job wellI was surprised at how sturdy this was. I am not using the wheels because this is stationary for me. The only concern I have is that the space between the rows is a bit narrow. But it works for womens shoes just fine. Boots would not fit except on the top row.
Over all very happy with it.

Not QualityCheap material and design. Do not move racks once shoes are on - rack will break.
Can this accommodate boots and other taller shoes, or be adjusted to do so?
Asked by: IShakeMyFist
This cannot accommodate boots. I put small ankle boots on the top shelf. I recommend the 4-boot rack as an alternative to hold the tall boots.

Can women's wedges be used on this rack or will they slip off?
Asked by: Bonnuts
Wedges can be used, absolutely! But, in my experience the wedges were too tall (~ 4 in high) for any shelf except the very top. A small wedge of 3 inches or smaller would fit in the middle shelves better.

I have a fairly large walk-in closet and I was thinking of using 2 racks back to back either by securing them together. Can this work?
I was also thinking I might have my contractor install a wood backboard between them. I am trying to create a solution for my husband and I’s large shoe collection. Do you think installing 2 racks back to back can work in a deep walk in closet? What would the total dimension be?

Can this until be wall mounted?
Asked by: Wineprgal
There are no holes for wall mounting. It is on wheels, but you can easily remove them to make it a standing rack. Any shoes with heels will go over the back bar, so they would be hitting the wall causing it to push out. Not good for wall mounting.

Can you recommend a shoe rack for a large number of men's shoes (sizes 12 -14)?
Can you recommend a shoe rack for a large number of men's shoes (sizes 12 -14)?
Asked by: PuppyChow
Men's shoes can be a challenge if they have flat soles. Sneakers, sandals, shower shoes, and flat soled dress shoes will slide off of the two uneven height bars onto the floor. Good luck finding a product similar to this one which is great except for the inability to securely hold flat bottom shoes. I have manipulated it by turning my shoes upside down and trying to get the back of the shoe to hold onto the back "heel" rail. I also tried inserting cork board "Push Pins" into the heels of my flat soled shoes to get them to hold, but it was a pain dealing with push-pins in my closet.
