Why are the acrylic clear hangers so much more expensive? What is the big difference? Do these leave any odor of plastic on your clothes? What clips?

The big difference is the Clear Slim Hangers are made with polystyrene – an inexpensive plastic. Our Premium Acrylic Hangers are made with 100% real acrylic and are incredibly durable. They will not leave an odor on your clothing. An Acrylic option with clips is recommended below!

Do these hangers leave marks or crease lines on pants or jeans when hung?

It really depends on the material. If it’s a thicker material, like a denim or chino, you're not likely to see a crease. If the material is delicate, like a silk or synthetic, it may leave a crease. Nothing a steamer or iron can’t get out! If you have longer hanging space, we recommend the add-on pant/skirt clips (SKU#: 10079722) that you can use to avoid potential creases. For delicate items, we would also recommend folding them vs. hanging them.

Same durability as velvet hangers?
Will these be as sturdy as The Container Store velvet hangers? Are they made of the same type and thickness of plastic as the velvets?
