Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product This is a great box for storing oversized art projects from school. My daughters beds don't have much clearance between the bed and the floor and this fits perfectly. Pretty sturdy too! Kinda pricey but its what I needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be Careful How You Stack Them... I purchased several of these, to store half-size (18" x 12") sets of architectural drawings. For that purpose this is a great box - it's tough to find boxes proportioned for that size paper, and these are MUCH less expensive than the various flat-file and portfolio-box options sold by art and drafting supply companies to store drawings. I have mine all stacked on top of each other, and they fit great on top of a 2-drawer file cabinet. I think this would be a great box for parents to use to store kids' artwork - but it really isn't sturdy enough that you'd want it to be used by a child or stored in the child's room. You have to be a bit careful about how you stack them. The "fiberboard" that the boxes are made of is only about the thickness/weight of the cardboard or chipboard that is used to fold shirts around, or for garment gift boxes. All of the sturdiness of the box comes from its construction - the inside corners are pressed in such a way that they hold their shape pretty well, and the metal corners and edge band help reinforce them. They stack very well directly on top of each other - making sure to line up the corners. But, if you were to put an object on top of the middle of the box lid, so that its weight isn't distributed on the corners, then they would crunch in pretty easily. The metal band that runs around the box has a place in the middle of one of the long sides of the box where the ends of the band overlap. This seam isn't formed all that carefully/attractively - it's in a different place and has different degrees of sloppiness on each box - but as long as you're using the boxes somewhere where all the sides aren't going to be equally visible you could probably position that side of the lid so that it's not the one facing you. These come already assembled, and are NOT the type that can be snapped apart for flat-folding. I am happy with that, because I think it makes them sturdier - I have one of the snap-apart type boxes that this company also makes and it has a tendency to disassemble itself if handled the least bit imperfectly. Overall I'm pretty happy with these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Art Storage Box These are great boxes. I have had some of the larger ones before and they last forever. Plus they are very attractive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Storage for School Projects These are so great to save all my kids school projects. The generous size can accommodate everything from journals to artwork. They fit perfectly on my bookshelf and help keep all those keepsakes neatly stored away. I have 4 already and will definitely be purchasing more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Attractive for price Attractive box for the price. Terrific size for storing kids' art. Metal edges add a professional-looking touch and make the box sturdy. I was only disappointed that the metal was a bit dinged up in places.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect size I love this box for my son's artwork from school. It is the perfect size for all those oversized masterpieces! Only complaint is that it filled before the year was over. Maybe if it had a latch or strap around it, it would have been able to contain it all. Will purchase more for future years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as Sturdy as Expected I was expecting a very sturdy box to hold all of my little one's art projects. Unfortunately, the box was a little flimsy. However, it is the perfect size for larger art projects.

Would a child be able to draw a picture on the lid? Is it strong enough so it wouldnt damage the lid while drawing?
Asked by: RoseannB
The lid is constructed from heavyweight 80% recycled fiberboard that can be damaged if too much pressure is applied.
