Outstanding compact solutionPricey, but consider that these come fully assembled. I use two of these to complement a small computer and hold office supplies, as drawers of traditional desks would do. Three sizes of drawers allow flexibility to accommodate different items -- from hole punchers and staplers to pens and pencils. Very solid, and I got the caster bases to for mobility.

the casters on this are horribleI have 5 of these cabinets, the first I bought many years ago. HOWEVER, I have 3 caster bases that halfway work, and 1 that doesn't. I literally picked out the ones that rolled around best in the store, and it didn't help. I didn't even bother buying the casters for the 5th cabinet yet, but I need to move them.
I love the file cabinet abut the cheap casters for the base are awful and at the price it is not funny. The other reviewers also comment on these castors.
The shallow drawers of the file cabinets are brilliant for storing things you don't want to dig for, jewelry, art supplies, etc, its the wheels that are the problem.

Review of Bisley 8- & 10-Drawer Cabinet Caster BasThe caster base is an abomination. Horrible casters. And when you consider the cost, my impression really sinks. I admit it, I love casters. I put them on everything. So I waited for my next Container Store coupon to buy the caster base for my Bisley 8 drawer cabinet. Just installed it and am pretty displeased at how immobile the casters are. When I move the item around on my floor, the casters scrape, they don't roll. IMO you'd be better off taking the bottom drawer out and... oh, wait, I can't take the bottom drawer out bc the provided screws are too long, and after you screw in the base the screws are also tightly up against the bottom drawer! Anyway, what I was going to say, and what I think I'm going to do is return this caster base, remove the bottom drawer, and install some real casters (with supporting washer&nut) by slightly enlarging the holes. Probably cost less than half the cost of this, and will provide significantly better mobility.

great design, so-so constructionFirst - I do love this cabinet. It's perfect for sorting office supplies, particularly with the added drawer trays. The quality is definitely good, however, as another reviewer noted, it is not excellent, and for $200 for a small cabinet, it probably should be better. The cabinet itself is solid and sturdy, but the drawers do not glide (and they do occasionally make a noise if you don't pull them out straight). The optional divided trays are useful, but they are somewhat flimsy and don't hold up well to use. One of the four we originally purchased cracked.

I love the cabinet itself. Works great. I also bought the caster base....not so great. The screws that attach the base to the cabinet are too long and you can't get the bottom drawer back in. I had to grind down the screws so it would close. They need to work on it.

Best Beading Storage!I purchased the Bisley 10-drawer silver cabinet to hold all of my beads and buttons. The cabinet is wonderful because it is so well-constructed. The inserts make organizing a breeze. I love the fact that there are plenty of drawers to use - I can separate by color, size, etc. LOVE this cabinet and will purchase more in the future!!

Choose WiselyRecommendation for these cabinets rest solely on the intent of use. In an office or home study, only a select few items may fit in the narrow and shallow drawers .
All drawers measure 9.25 inches in width, enough to add standard printer paper or similar, however std pocket folders may not.
Shallow depth was expected and depicted well from the picture. As my intention was to archive several 9.5 " folders, along with few
smaler printer items, the usage became somewhat limited.
The drawer inserts are great idea for smaller stored items ( just watch out for the plastic debris accompanying it ).

Not worth the moneyI've always been a big fan of The Container Store and Elfa products in particular. I I recently made a large order for an office in our new home. Part of that order were four Bisley cabinets; an 8 drawer, a 2 drawer w/file drawer, and two 5 drawer. After getting the larger cabinets, I cancelled the back order for the two 5 drawers because the quality was lacking. These look great, but I expected roll out drawers in a $200 /cabinet. Not so, they just slide out, sometimes making an awful screeching sound, and will fall out if you're not careful. Cheap plastic drawers work as well. Save your money.

FabulousCabinets are extremely well made. They are best used in small office or closets. They have very deep well crafted drawers of different sizes. The colors are great to perk up a room. Take plastic containers and throw away. Great for lingerie, clothing, jewelry, gloves, glasses in cases, hats (soft) scarves, buttons, all the many things in one location. These are the best organizers which reduce the footprint of other plastic containers, wicker organizers, soft woven organizers by 2/3rds. I was able to put everything into 5 of these which stacked on one side of closet. Highly recommend. Ordered and requested to pick up. It was in my car ready to go within 5 minutes of arriving at the Container Store. Bravo!

PRACTICAL & CONVENIENT UNDER-DESK STORAGEI bought this mini 8-drawer file cabinet in white, along with the caster base. I work at a U-shaped desk and sit at its computer station. This cabinet fits perfectly into a space underneath and to the right of my chair (I'm right-handed). I no longer need to twist around and reach my left arm to open the top desk drawer or walk to the storage cabinets for supplies. I store the following: pens & pencils, highlighters and markers, clear project files, file folders, computer paper, post-its and scratch paper, and legal pads. The drawers are not full-extension; since they are small and light weight, they don't need to be. I was fortunate to buy the Bisley cabinet on sale during the Oak Brook moving sale, since the sales clerk told me they don't go on sale.

Best everPurchased 3 to organize my jewelry making supplies. Just love them. They are very strong and hold the weight of all the heavy beads. They look great! Best thing is that each type of bead is organized by drawer and my supplies will stay dust free. Wish I would have purchased these years ago.

Great little storage cabinetI'm a photographer and have a lot of small parts that needed to be organized - memory cards, flash drives, extra batteries, regular office supplies, external hard drives, etc. This serves that purpose beautifully.
My only wish is that it would come with a way to lock it so that my 18-month-old son would stop opening the drawers and pulling out my memory cards. :)

Perfect except ...... it's just an awkward height. It was too tall to sit on my desk and too short to look right sitting on the floor. I ended up trading it in for the 5 drawer system even though I ended up paying more per drawer.

Love this cabinet!I had been looking for something for jewelry storage in my bathroom. I have other jewelry boxes, but they are filled and too small for my collection of costume jewelry. This cabinet is awesome! Just perfect for my half bath. I have 10 drawers full of beautifully organized bracelets, pins and rings. I have been able to put sets together so that they can be easily identified and matched to outfits as I am getting dressed in the morning. Cannot be more perfect!

Greatest Drawer Storage For Small ItemsI purchased two of the silver cabinets for storage of my essential oils. The dividers make it easy to compartmentalize the drawers, making it possible to organize the bottles. The drawers move easily, are compact, yet provide a great deal of space for all of my many items. I've alphabetized each drawer in the metal frame located on the front of each drawer. And one of the nicest things about these cabinets is that they are functional and very attractive. Might as well make organizing beautiful too!

Bisley@Collection CabinetsThe cabinets were slightly smaller than I expected and I wish I had ordered two 8 drawer instead of one 8 and one 10 but that was my decision. The cabinets are working great for the purpose I needed them for. I am storing needle crafts threads and supplies and patterns in them. They are plain but nice looking and I think they were worth the money. They get a little expensive when you have to have them shipped. But the nearest store is over a 100 miles. I will order again.

Nice little drawer setThis little guy fits perfectly underneath my new desk. I chose the black one, looks nice with the darker-colored wood furniture. The top drawers are shallow, good for sticky notes, small items. The lower drawers are bigger and deeper, nice for larger items. I had thought I wouldn't like a metal cabinet, but this one is nice looking!

I can not tell what size the inside of the drawers are on the 8 and 10 drawer units here.
