It leaks!I've had this dispenser for almost a year now and use it to store dish soap on the kitchen counter. I haven't noticed leaking at the bottom as other users have posted; mine leaks (drips) at the pump where the soap comes out. I keep a paper towel under the dispenser to catch the mess. I'm on the Container Store site searching for another dispenser as I'm tired of dealing with this.

Chrome part turned greenI bought this soap dispenser with the matching toothbrush holder for my college dorm in the Summer of 2013. I liked the look of the product and mine never leaked like most of the reviews said. However, the "chrome-plated" part began to turn green at the end of the school year and I cleaned it off often.

Not so great :(Agreed with previous reviewer. I replaced mine due to leaking at the bottom a few months ago and now the replacement is leaking. Not a good product :(

leaks like a sieveBought 3 of these for my home and within a month or two each one started to leak around the base where the flat bottom is sealed to the rest of the bottle. Terrible piece of junk. Do not buy this soap dispenser. It's an absolute waste of money.

Almost Perfect Droplet Countertop EssentialsThe toothbursh holder is wonderful. Easy to open to clean out and matches with everything! The pump dispenser is almost perfect. The chrome-plated feature has what looks like algae or mold growing where it meets the acrylic part. If you can find a better pump to fit it then you're good to go.

LOVE THIS SOAP PUMP!!!I got this pump initially because I have a vinyl cutting machine a wanted to have a soap dispenser monogrammed with my initials. This dispenser is not only great for its looks that can blend anywhere but also for its quality.

Lovely designGreat as made of acrylic, not glass. I use the pump for hand cream, but it is pretty impossible to get stuff out of the bottom. Only down side. All pieces a bit bulky, but overall great design

I bought the soap pump separately and use this in my Kitchen. It is Fantastic! Doesn't pump out a huge amount of soap but rather, conserves it. It pumps out soap very smoothly and you can tell the quality is GREAT! I also love the design of it. Very modern.

Really Nice DesignHaving had glass bath accessories with metal lids that were beautiful, but beginning to rust, I decided to switch to the acrylic Droplet Bath Accessories by Umbra. All I can say is what a nice change. They are beautiful, light, shatter-free and look great in all three of my bathrooms. I love the ease of the pump on the soap dispenser and the fact that thus far, soap hasn't gotten jammed in the nozzle, which would happen on a regular basis with my other dispenser. I am really pleased with them, and will definitely be going back for another one for my kitchen!

Pretty but BIGI like this soap dispenser but it is really big. I ordered it online so when I received it, the larger than expected size surprised me. Keeping it none-the-less as it is nice, contemporary looking, and works well. The reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is b/c it's oddly large but some people may like that look.

Umbra Soap PumpThis has got to be the best soap pump ever. I was tired of the gummy soap pumps that come with the plastic bottles that the soap comes in from the store. I was constantly having to clean out the housing so it would pump again. The Umbra has put an end to that. I have one in the kitchen for dish detergent now and also in my bathroom to dispense my antibacterrial soap. Classic lines and they go with everything!!!

Classy Pump!I finally found the pump to use for shampoo and bath gel!!!! The Umbra® Droplet Pump Dispenser Clear is PERFECT to leave displayed next to my bathtub and not have to put away when I entertain. It is very classy and clean looking. Looks like the ones at 5 star hotels!

Dont' buy this Soap Dish!Ridges aren't high enough for the soap to dry, so you are left with a wet, gloppy soap (see photo). Gross. :(

Does the lid of the droplet toothbrush holder come off for cleaning?

Good question! No, the lid does not come off and that makes it a bit more cumbersome to clean. You could simply wash the toothbrush holder with your hands, using warm water and soap, but unless you have long fingers, you won't reach the inside base of the holder to properly clean it.
Therefore I suggest you use a soft, small, soft sponge cleaner with a handle (similar to a bottle cleaner) to clean the inside of the toothbrush holder.

What does chrome plated mean? Is the chrome piece still plastic painted with chrome paint or is it actually metal?
Mine, which I bought a year ago, has the chrome paint on it and it has turned green in some parts. I really like this and am considering another one but don't want the same thing to happen. Thanks.

I didn't buy any chrome-plated acrylic products but have seen them at The Container and other stores. Of what I remember when I saw these items on the shelves, they seem to be made of chrome-plated plastic.

Are these pieces dishwasher safe?

Acrylic items should only be washed by hand with a soft cloth (never use a brush), lukewarm or warm water with regular soap or a very mild detergent and dried after washing -just like glass- to avoid staining. NEVER put acrylic products in the dishwasher because they turn opaque and loose their luster.
