Love this productI've had my shelving units for about a year and I love them. This platinum color looks very professional and updated. They work well with most any wall color and shelf color. They are very easy to install and remove. Waiting for another Elfa Sale so I can get some more!!

Well priced product - worth itWhile cheaper immitations areout there,this product and the entire Elfa line is worth every penny. I have Elfa component which have moved from house to house with me for nineteen years. Each time they are unwrapped and installed they look great.
Bought the last set of brakets to make a book case. The book ends, also available from Container Store give you a sleek modern line to complete the look.

Great product - very sturdyI bought this shelf support as the latest addition to my elfa system. It works great! I'm using it to support a digital audio control interface as part of my studio. Elfa is a surprisingly sturdy shelf system and supports a lot of weight. I've been continuously surprised at how sturdy and strong it is. Very well made stuff, and worth the price.

Brackets make Reorganization easy as pieLove the Elfa system and the bracket system. My office closet has shelves that are built in and immovable - and unforgiving as my needs change. My long wall inside the office is all Elfa and I have organized it for now to hold what I need close to where I need it. I highly recommend Elfa over any fixed shelf system you may have!

Desktop hung on Solid Shelf Brackets -- wobblyI was a little underwhelmed after we assembled my husband's new work desk. We secured the hanging standards very well. But when we placed the desktop onto the brackets, I was amazed at how much we could "swing"or rock the desktop back and forth. WIth a computer monitor and a laptop resting on the desktop, the desk isn't too shaky. but i was disappointed that things weren't tighter and less wiggly.

Great BuyI bought and used these with a study kit parchase and I love them! They are bright and clean and easy to install and adjust the shelves on them. I especially like the grooves for the shelf anchors to sit in, they make these shelves really really stable.

Elfa for EverywhereI've been using Elfa, in various houses for various purposes, since the 1990s - I absolutely love it. I use plain planks on solid-shelving brackets, mostly - right now I have three walls of bookshelves made that way. I've also used it in/as a pantry and a closet, with a mix of ventilated and solid shelving plus some drawers - haven't set up my closets in this house yet. The great advantage is that it comes along with you. I have standards and brackets and top bars that I bought in 1993 in use right now, plus a good many more I bought within the last 5 years (bigger house!). In the interim I've used Elfa in a rental apartment - the single row of screwholes necessary to hang it were easy to patch when I moved out (I did get permission to hang shelving, first).
What is the minimum vertical distance required between each bracket? The brackets for the ventilated shelves can be adjusted every 1-1/4". Is the distance the same for these solid shelf brackets?

Would these shelf brackets fit in other shelf tracks (not elfa)?
I have a closet area that already has shelving in it, and the tracks are in place. I am thinking about changing the shelves to elfa solid shelving, but wonder if the brackets are standard and will fit other tracks.

Probably not. Unless the slots are the same size and spaced the same way. Even then, a safe and secure fit is not guaranteed. I have seen similar ones so I know they exist but I'm not sure I'd trust them working together.

When having two long shelves next to each other, is only one bracket needed to make the connection to the wall?
If I have two 30" shelves going next to each other, I'm unclear if both ends of the shelves in the middle section will fit into one bracket, or if I need to buy two separate brackets (in addition to the two brackets on each extremity).

Each shelf will need (2) shelf brackets. So, if you need (2) shelves, you will need a total of (4) shelf brackets.

We do not have a weight limit for elfa shelving since they are able to hold so much. If you have the weight distributed evenly then it can hold a desktop, keyboard, and other items you would normally have on your desk.

What bracket should I buy for desk support?
I have an elfa wall system for office space. My computer sits on the 20"x4' solid shelf. Shelf is starting to droop in the middle. Is there a bracket I can use for support?

You can use the shelf support bracket, SKU 10045644, under the desk just like a bracket. That should help with the sagging.
