Umbra Flex Gel-Lock Soap Dish is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Design / Needs Improvement for Tray Holder I really like the design of the product. Wish the soap dish was just a little larger as the knob for the suction portion seems to be in the way. Also the soap holder tray needs to be more secure as it does not stay in place tightly when the knob is tightened.

What are the specific installation instructions?

I remember there was installation instructions posted in the store, and I thought I took a picture of it, but I can't find it. I remember clean the surface, there was another step or two before you stick it on the wall... help?
Asked by: minimama
I cleaned my walls with rubbihg alcohol and let them airdry. I did same with suction cups .... And I'm less confident about that.

What is the maximum amount of weight this product can sustain?

I think the adhesive/ suction cup method sounds durable, but I don't want to overload it with too much. I'm debating possibly buying more than one of this type of product if one is not sufficient (I have multiple people using one shower who have lots of products)

What is Gel Lock adhesive?

Will the gel adhesive suction stain the shower wall over time? Is it sticky and if want to remove or falls will it leave sticky residue behind? Any help appreciated thank you
Asked by: Rein19
Patented Gel-Lock technology uses the next generation of suction cup, not adhesive, to create a unique seal that holds more and lasts longer than traditional suction cups. It removes cleanly, leaving behind no residue. Gel-Lock items must be mounted on smooth, non-porous surfaces like glass, gloss-finished tile, fiberglass. etc. - avoiding any grout-lines. For best result, we recommend tightening the Gel-Lock knob once a month.
