Attractive, VersatileI just purchased 6 of the Forma Overcabinet Hooks. I am a renter and so cannot attach hooks to the walls in my storage closet to hang cleaning items. There is, however, a ledge in the closet. I was able to hang these on the ledge and hang my beautiful brooms, which are made by the student craftsmen at Berea College. I also wanted to be able to hang my oven mitts inside the kitchen cabinet where I keep my cooking pans. Tip: If, like me, you do not like the appearance of a hook on the door, even just that bit of metal on the backside when it is hung hook-side facing in (and even if the hooks are attractive, as these are), here is what I discovered. My cabinets are like the ones in the picture. If you pull out the drawer, you can hang the hook inside of the cabinet, hook-side facing in, on the ledge just under the drawer. Works great and no appearance of anything hanging on your cabinet door. So, these hooks can be used in many ways to suit your needs and aesthetic preferences. One small con: depending on the thickness of your cabinets or whatever you hang the hooks from, the hooks may not fit snugly, so lifting what is hanging on the hook may also lift the hook itself. I consider this a very minor problem, and one that could be fixed easily enough.

Rusty after only two years!The product description identifies the hook as being made of rustproof stainless steel, however (after only two years) both of my Forma overcabinet hooks have developed rust. I'm rather disappointed.

Doesn't Stay Put!Our sink is in an island with no overhead cabinets. I had no place to hang my hand towel except on the island cabinet door. This hook came in handy for a while until every time I lifted off the towel, the hook came off with it. There is a rubber tension to it, but it doesn't work very well against the cabinet. Plus, my cabinet door isn't very thick and the hook is loose on it. I like the idea very much so I'll try the over door towel BAR instead of this hook.

Great all-purpose door hook for cabinetsI use this in my office for the door on my storage wardrobe- its smaller size fits better than hooks meant for actual doors (like an office door/front door/etc). I use it to hang my cascading file tote from you guys as well, and it's perfect- small enough to be unobtrusive, but strong enough to hold a 6-pack of full files!

Simple idea. Really convenient.Using these to hold oven mitts. Also, you can turn them around and use them INSIDE a cabinet, which I am doing. I am using it for this cheese grater that I don't want to put in a drawer - afraid I will get cut. Now, it is hanging safely on the inside of a cabinet.
Only problem is these hooks can shift around a little, but other than than, they are great.

overdoor cabinet hookThis worked great! No sliding and big enough to hold a hand towel.
What is the inside dimension of the portion that goes over the door, and how much does the hook portion stick out?
There are 3 dimensions listed, but there are really 5 dimensions that could be important to a user: The overall height, the width, the depth of the actual "hook" part, the length of the portion on the inside of the door, and the inside dimension of the section that goes over the door. Any help greatly appreciated.

The inside portion of the hook can accommodate doors up to 3/4" wide. The hook portion sticks out 1.5" from the cabinet door.
