My Metro commercial posts came with threaded leveling feet. How do I replace those with the stem casters? I can’t figure out how to get the threaded assembly out of the post.
Asked by: Patch1103
I had to use a vice and wiggle the insert free. It takes a good amount of force. It would be nice if instructions were included. I'm not sure it would have been possible with pliers. I'm assuming the will do it for you in the store, but I bough online.

Will this fit the InterMetro Post?
The diameter of the caster post is 7/8", correct? What is the inside diameter of the Intermetro Post?
Asked by: T4YS
The inside diameter of the post is right at 7/8", the outside diameter is 1". Yes, the necks of the casters are close to the same 7/8".

Can these wheels be used with just Metro Commercial shelves but no posts? Or do you have some very short posts?
We love the metro line of shelving. But we would like to set up some shelves that are just one shelf above 4 of these wheels to put boxes on. Would prefer no posts, although a 2-3 inch post would be OK. Do you have anything like this?
Asked by: rscott
As the caster inserts into the post and the shelves attach to the post you would need to cut the post to a shortened length as you mention to keep the unit solid and intact. Otherwise it would be very loose and the casters would not remain straight and fall out.

how do i put the caster on ?
there is a ring preventing the caster from sliding on, and i can't get it off
Asked by: jeanne123
The stem of the caster has a "Lock ring" on the end to help secure the caster into the post. Meaning it takes a little "Force" to get this into the post. using a mallet or hammer to help tap it into the post would help. Putting a towel or something to protect the caster would help to prevent damaging.
