You'll be able to hang pressed or air dry garments from the rod, which can be adjusted to the right height and extended for long hanging garments. Each canvas bag is removable and comes with integrated steel handles that make it a breeze to take out, unload and place right back inside. The interior of the replacement laundry bag is 8-3/4" wide x 17-1/2" long x 22-1/2" height (front of bag) and 26" height (back of bag). The bag is tapered and is taller in the back.

Plastic Pieces Broke and Hanging Rod Fell OffI've had this item for less than two years and both of the plastic pieces that hold the hanging rod in place have cracked and now the hanging rod no longer stays attached. It just falls down. Since there's no way to put the rod back up, I can no longer use this item for hanging clothes as they come out of the dryer. Since that's all I used it for, that means this item is now useless to me. What a waste of money. I've always had much better luck with items from The Container Store. Unfortunately, this item was very disappointing.

Oh dear.... multiple problemsI wish I'd gone online and read the reviews before purchasing this, but when I saw it in the store It looked perfect: I could sort clothes as they went into the hamper, wheel the whole thing down to our building's laundry room, put three loads on at once, then hang up the things that don't go in the dryer while the rest of the laundry tumbles. But three problems quickly became apparent:
1. The wheels keep falling off!!!! When I realized they weren't solidly held it, I figured the weight of the clothes would help. Nope. Even a little bump like rolling from carpet onto floor, or over the lintel at our apartment door, or into the elevator to the laundry room is enough for a wheel to fall off, and once one wheel comes off, you have to immediately hold the entire thing up to compensate or the wheel diagonally opposite will fall off when the cart pivots down to the floor on one corner.
2. The upper section cannot be fully lowered into the bottom section to fit the cart under an overhang when the rail is not needed. It has to be in one of two almost-fully-extended positions. I had assumed it could be retracted up to the "bend" but that doesn't work: the vertical poles jam at different positions, so the horizontal upper bar doesn't stay horizontal, which leads the ends-capts to come off (because they're only a loose friction-fit) and that sends the entire upper bar onto the floor.
3. The fabric loops for the metal handles have so much slack in them that you can't hold the bag upside down to shake the contents out without the handles coming out.
Grrrrrrr...... Lesson learned. I've never had problems with things from the Container Store before, so this was especially irritating.

chrome 3 bin laundry cartWe bought this item 4 months ago and due to living in an apartment building with a laundry in the basement believed the cart would make easy the weekly trudge to the laundrette.
Unfortunately the wheels do not secure into the frame and as such fall out at the most inappropriate of times...usually whilst entering the elevator, then as one crosses the apartments threshold and then over the slightest level change. Yup pretty tricky!
I see another review talks of the same issues so their must be a design fault that creates this repetitive problem.
Additionally the fixings loosen extremely quickly rendering the frame weak and wobbly.
Real shame as our wishes for its 'usefulness' were pretty high!

It is *almost* amazingThis product was going to be revolutionary for laundry in my house. It's actually made it worse.
The biggest problem is the wheels. They don't lock in. So every time I happen across a toy or shoes that one of my small laundry-makers (aka children) have left out, at least one wheel falls out. Then, in replacing it, another comes out, and so on. I've tried brute force to actually set them, with no success. I thought maybe one on the screws that hold the frame together may actually be designed to fit in the notch on the peg of the caster, wrong there, too.
The slightly less frustrating thing is that there's no great way to get the clothes from the hanging hampers to the machine. I'm used to being able to pick up and dump a hamper of laundry into the machine. This was one of the reasons I chose this model over ones that were one bin with seperators. I've found that it would really take 3 hands to actually dump one of the hampers out. I either have to deal with the hangers falling half way out while I dump it or try to fit it into my tiny laundry room.
All in all, I decided to finally spend some money to help make laundry an easier chore, and all I've had is regrets.

Not a good productThe concept of this laundry sorter design is outstanding; however, the connectors are plastic and unable to lock. Without locking, the bars do not stay in position. Additionally, the bottom stabilizing plate is flimsy and weak.
The laundry bags, the laundry bag bars and hooks and the structural bars are great quality and would have been the perfect design for my needs.
Very disappointing that they used plastic connectors and weak stabilizing.
I'll keep an eye out for updates to this product.

What is the absolute shortest this can be when stored?
I'm hoping to use this hamper with the top rod stowed as low as possible to roll it under the bottom rod in my double-hang closet. Then, when I roll it to the laundry room I'll raise the rod to hang clothes.
