Not SturdyI purchased this online, and was so excited to add it to my kitchen counter, but I was greatly disappointed when it arrived. The jar does not sit on the counter flat. The bottom of the jar is bowed out, so it rocks back and forth. I thought maybe I got a defected one, so I went to the store to return it, only to find all of the ones they had in stock were the same way. It is the way the manufacturer made it. The black lid is very nice, and it seals perfectly on the jar. I just don't recommend this, especially if you plan on placing on the counter, and having kids reach into the cookie jar. I would be afraid it would tip.. Now I am back on the mission to find a glass cookie jar with a black lid.

Have the wobbly jars been recalled and removed from stores and all your stock And replaced with new ones that do not wobble?

Lids only?
Can I buy just the Matte Black Lids only?

(There seems to be an issues with these jars, but I like the dark lids, as opposed to the Chrome Lids on the jars with no stability issues.)

Airtight enough for loose crackers to stay fresh?

No way. They have a tiny suction ring but i have one jar that the lid pulls right off and it’s exactly the same as the jar that has a tiny bit of resistance. We only store candy and these pretzels that disappear the same day! Our cheese balls went stale after two days.
